If I could, in an idealistic world The first thing I'd administer to every person would be behavioural enhancement/agency For 90% of people The situation they are in now, is of their own accord(unless stricken by random disease/congenital issues/cancers) Whether they want to admit it or not is another issue The doc handing you the GLP is doing so under the snowball effect that started a long time ago
“I want to do things naturally” I want you to do things naturally also! But my bro you’ve been 60lbs overweight for 10 years, you sleep when the suns up, you eat godforsaken slop, you’re on a stress hamster wheel and you eat more calories than daily step count You abandoned nature decades ago Go back to our great grandfathers pastoral life if you can Otherwise…. Here’s your vial

I'm much more interested in drugs, peptides, supplements and lifestyle changes that improve outcomes in metabolically healthy individuals Correcting pathology is interesting, and restoring normal physiology has obvious value. But what about compounds that interact with an already functioning biological system and produce meaningful enhancement? Improving mitochondrial capacity in someone with metabolic dysfunction is one thing. Improving mitochondrial capacity in someone who is already metabolically healthy is another. Datasets matter.

My wife loves Yakult. So I bought some local raw milk, heat-treated it, added a tiny bottle of Yakult, and put it all into my yogurt maker. Now I have half a gallon of homemade Yakult for just one buck. I feel like Jesus multiplying the loaves and fishes.

I feel like the best metric That's actually worth aiming for is to always feel athletically + mentally ten years younger than actually are There's really not much more you need to ask from yourself than that. Everything else is surplus.
sometimes i run into old friends my age and some of them look so old it's baffling. i'm almost 36 and i genuinely don't feel any different than i did at 26. with a clean shave i could pass for 30. no hair loss, no greys, no wrinkles. i feel "mentally" young as well. i do blood work like twice a year and everything is okay there as well. genetics help, but so does barely drinking, not smoking, not eating junk food and training almost every day for decades. it really matters when you take care of your body.

5 biggest issues i've seen when working 1-1 with people taking glp1s > blunted dopamine system/apathy > gallbadder/fat metabolism issues > nausea which can be exacerbated by injection site > putting the weight back on just as fast if they dosed too high and fast (leptin sensitivity uncalibrated) > increased burnout/low energy due to poor nutrition habits
If you’re taking GLP-1s and experiencing extreme fat loss You should probably be using TUDCA Rapid fat mobilization increases bile load Which thickens and stresses the biliary system There's even data out there now to support that biliary issues are a common side effect of drugs like semaglutide, retaurtiude, etc Which can increase your risk of gallstones or bile duct problems Especially if you already have pre-existing fatty liver or metabolic stress Just telling you for your own long-term health and benefit, stay safe out there…

This still checks out
Weird but the most underrated health heuristic If your wounds heal fast, nails grow quick + hair stays thick You’re likely running a clean internal system It signals: – intact insulin sensitivity – strong collagen remodeling – good microcirculation and nutrient delivery – low chronic inflammation Surface-level markers obviously but powerful proxies none the less....

Well anytime I've had endorphin rushes it's usually long distance running, zone 4/5, or a long sauna session Anything that feels like you're about to die will trigger a post endorphin response Biological hardwiring

Study the blitzer vs balancer phenotype. the work that you can sustain forever without burnout is the game you want to play. learning how to pull when you think you should push. how to go easy when you think you need to go hard.

Andrew Huberman on the best advice he ever got: figure out the most real work you can do every day, consistently, and find a way to reset every week. "The best advice I ever got: there was a neurologist out at UC Berkeley and UCSF, Bob Knight, some years ago, very talented. I asked him for advice starting graduate school." "He said, 'Figure out the maximum amount of real work that you can do every day consistently, and then figure out some non-destructive way to reset yourself every single week.'" "I said, 'How do you reset?' He said he likes fishing. I like to hike. I like to get into nature and spend time with people while I do it. I figured out I could work X number of hours per day, 5 days a week, and I just stuck to it for 25 years." "People who take a ton of stimulants and just blitz, blitz, blitz, blitz, blitz. These are the same people that crash and disappear. You have to figure out and build your capacity." "Yes, you have to work extremely hard. You have to be extremely focused. But you also have to figure out how long you can keep this up." @hubermanlab

Clip from a recent podcast with Guy Fincham, which I'm currently editing. @breath_Guy Guy explains how he went from being a complete sceptic of breathwork to doing a full 180. And how he eventually became one of the leading educators, authors and publishers in the field, specialising in the science of breathwork An interesting insight into his journey, what changed his perspective, and how he came to dedicate his work to understanding and educating others on the science of breathing.

Isometric holds for 30-90 seconds using large muscle mass groups is very effective for blood pressure issues as well Wall sits have been shown to improve HBP issues in adults and are easy to do at home Also very good for connective tissues
Best things you will do for your blood pressure outside of losing weight: - manage electrolyte intake (potassium, magnesium, sodium,) - dial in egfr function (kidneys, raas system) - increase collagen intake - nattokinase - zone 4 cardio + sauna for ten minutes when hr drops - increase epa/dha intake 90% of the time it works everytime.

This checks out, even for health
the great thing about life is that everything can be gamified... every little thing you want is locked behind a set of actions in theory, the only habit you really need to live the life you want is to write down clear action items & attack them everyday doing what's written down on your list every day becomes the all encompassing habit one should build the only variable is how aligned those actions are w/ what you want to get out of them, that comes from good judgement

100% behind the idea that paying someone for access to their knowledge base is a cheat code You're compressing years of their trial-and-error, failures, frameworks, and pattern recognition into a few calls/1 to 1s. Couldn't tell you one time I actually regretted paying for mentorships or access to someone who's actually at the LEVEL they claim..

If the dorks spent 1/10 of the time exercising in whatever zone that they do pontificating and debating which zone is superior, they average life span would increase to 150 years.

Even after treatment with levothyroxine individuals with hypothyroidism still have redox balance that is tilted towards a pro-oxidative state. Focusing on NAC + glycine + selenium + mitochondrial support such as PQQ is a more sustainable way to restore redox balance.
