Historically, the Alaafin's power rested on the military strength of his kingdom. The extent of this power was sectional and was terminated by Ilorin in 1835. Capt. Ross tried to revive this power between 1914 and 1931, but this fell apart when the government tagged it an error.

The ADC judgment is a farce that will be upturned in Appeal Court. You people are excited for nothing and any lawyer saying they saw it coming will change mouth again and again like they did last time.

A Christian mother, Liyatu Samuel Dawa, from Gwoza in Nigeria's northeastern Borno State, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison following a case involving a Muslim woman who converted to Christianity.
The converted woman testified in court that she had embraced Christianity voluntarily and had not been pressured or forced by anyone.
Despite her testimony, Borno State High Court Judge A. B. Kumdila imposed concurrent prison sentences carrying a maximum term of 14 years, without the option of paying a fine.
Dawa maintained that she had merely offered the woman advice, telling the court: "I only gave her advice. That's all."
Her husband, evangelical Christian Amos Suleman, spent several months in prison before being released on bail. He says he is now living in hiding after receiving death threats from Islamist extremists.

The night Deborah was burnt to death by her classmates changed my view on Islam forever. Professors, doctors, lawyers, pilots and educated folks on Twitter defended her killers because it is Hadith. South-West Muslims were talking about reading the room. I will never forget.
