Un Cacciari perfetto su San Francesco. Grazie @salviamoroma per la segnalazione.
Finalmente una definizione corretta di #SanFrancesco è sorprendente che debba spiegarlo un non credente instagram.com/reel/DeFSHNcFK…

Prince was asked to do a solo on a cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps and he showed up to the rehearsal and barely played anything. Didn’t have any solo ready at all and didn’t play one. They asked what he was going to play and he just said “Don’t worry about it.” Then, on the night of the performance he just looms out of the shadows and plays this. The way he pivots off that F# root note into Dorian mode is so good. Massively underrated guitarist.
They've got a music one, and a movie one too. I might do the movie one tomorrow.

Buon ascolto!

They tortured her in a bathtub filled with ice for hours, nearly drowning her over and over. She never spoke a single word. And decades later, her brother would name the world's most famous perfume after her. Catherine Dior was born into French wealth in 1917, but the Depression erased it all. Then came 1941, when she met Hervé des Charbonneries in Cannes—a man who showed her that some things matter more than comfort. She joined the F2 Resistance network as a courier, carrying intelligence on German troop movements. Every message she delivered could save dozens of lives. In July 1944, the Gestapo found her. They beat her. They submerged her in freezing water until her lungs burned for air, pulling her up only to demand names, then plunging her back down again. The torture lasted hours, then days, then weeks. It was designed to shatter anyone. Catherine gave them nothing. Not a single name. Not one location. Her silence saved countless lives, though it ravaged her body and left scars that never fully healed. Ravensbrück concentration camp came next. Somehow she survived that too. When the war ended, she didn't reclaim wealth or status. She became a florist at Les Halles market in Paris, selling jasmine and roses alongside Hervé. In 1947, her brother Christian was naming his first perfume. As he debated options with his muse, Catherine walked into the room. "Ah, there's Miss Dior!" someone exclaimed. Christian's face changed. He had found his name. The perfume became legendary—jasmine and rose notes that were, unknowingly, a tribute to the flowers Catherine tended daily. It was her story of renewal, bottled for the world. She spent her remaining years as guardian of the Dior legacy, surrounded by beauty and the quiet triumph of simply being alive. The next time you catch the scent of Miss Dior, you're not just smelling perfume. You're breathing in the story of a woman who survived the ice and chose the flowers. -My History Club

One of the most unusual places in Greater Copenhagen is “Brøndby Haveby”, a collection of circular allotment gardens that has become famous around the world when seen from above. Designed by landscape architect Erik Mygind and established during the 1960s, the layout was inspired by traditional village structures, where community life often revolved around a shared central space. The circular design was intended to encourage social interaction while still giving each family its own private garden.

These stones have been silent for millions of years. Now, they can be played. 🎶🪨 In San Sperate, Sardinia, the Giardino Sonoro (Sound Garden) is an open-air museum created by the late Italian sculptor Pinuccio Sciola, where monumental stone sculptures can be heard as much as they can be seen. Known as “Sound Stones,” the carved basalt and limestone sculptures produce deep, resonant tones when touched or gently rubbed. Carefully cut grooves alter how the stone vibrates, turning solid geological material into an interactive acoustic experience. Captured by Elisabetta Tulsi, the garden brings together sculpture, material experimentation, landscape, and sound, revealing an unexpected musical quality hidden within stone. Would you expect a piece of stone to sound like this? 🎵 #ParametricArchitecture #PinuccioSciola #GiardinoSonoro #SoundGarden #Sardinia
