The agent finishes a long job. now you have a long job checking it š
if this makes that part easier, i'm interested
Today, @JudgmentLabs opens for general access.
We believe long running agent systems will generate more exhaust data than the world can currently process.
Hidden within agent traces are rich records of how to make these systems better: what users ask for, when agents stumble, and how agents interact with the external world.
Judgment is the most performant monitoring and improvement layer for long-horizon agents.
Weāre excited to see what you build!

Most analytics tools keep your data logic scattered across different platforms.
Querio brings it all into one Git repo, making analytics consistent, version-controlled, and ready for AI agents.
This is how data teams should work in the AI era.
member of technical staff @ anthropic btw
Yes, it seems indeed the models even obtained the results on the same day. I haven't had a chance to look through the OAI claimed proof yet, but in the spirit of the AGMAI recommendations to improve exposition before release, some of us did read Claude's proof last week before release to try to incorporate a better quality high level overview and exposition overall, which I hope is reflected in the pdf (published via the AI repository Hexagon, see hexagonmath.org/2610.00577; lean available at github.com/anthropics/formalā¦; also see the google drive shared via @rrwilliams's post drive.google.com/drive/u/0/f⦠in preparation for the upcoming workshops he's organizing with Impagliazzo and Paturi).
Sharing what I understood from the proof below:
Basic idea (below is for runtime 2^{delta n} for arbitrary constant delta>0; it seems both proofs ultimately get roughly exp(O(n / sqrt(log n))) time with lower order terms in the exponent),
* can assume num clauses = O(n) wlog via previous sparsification results (n = num variables)
* Solve #3-SAT not 3-SAT (i.e. count satisfying assignments, don't just decide satisfiability)
* Convert to graph problem: clauses are nodes, and edges between clauses that share a variable (whether it's x or not(x) doesn't matter; we care about same variable, not same literal). Weight of an edge is # of shared variables.
* Divide and Conquer idea: if there's a cut with total weight W, you can iterate over all 2^W fixings of those shared variables, and for each fixing you recurse on both sides and multiply, then add it up. Base case is constant # vertices, then you can just brute force count in 2^O(1) time. Unfortunately, you're not going to always find such a cut.
(aside: from now on you can imagine every occurrence of a literal gets its own variable, and edges are functions enforcing equality constraints between those copies)
* Instead of the above D&C, group the vertices into g^2 groups for some large constant g = g(delta). It matters how to do this grouping (it's not arbitrary); without getting into the details (see paper), a random grouping has properties the D&C wants (probabilistic method), and this existence is enough to allow for a slow-but-fast-enough algorithm to find a good grouping deterministically.
* Imagine laying out the g^2 vertices arbitrarily on a g x g grid. Some edges are "side edges" (purely horizontal or purely vertical) and some are "diagonal" (the rest). There are (g choose 2)^2 = Theta(g^4) diagonal ones (choose two rows and two columns to define the corners) but only 2*g*(g choose 2) = O(g^3) side edges. You can pick g a large enough constant that the side edges have much less total weight than the diagonals -- the D&C will save on the diagonals, so we want there to be many more of them.
* The sum we want is
sum_z prod_{vertices a} W_a(z_a) * prod_{edges a,b} P(z_a,z_b),
where W_a(z_a) at the highest level of recursion is a table of 2^3=8 values for each of the settings of the 3 literals in clause a, with value 0 or 1 indicating whether z_a satisfies clause a or not, and P() is the equality constraint checker I mentioned on the edges (deeper levels of recursion also all involve sums of this form where P() is always an equality checker on some set of bits, but deeper W's have arbitrary integer outputs and not necessarily 0/1)
Write prod_{edges} P(..) = prod_{side edges} P(..) prod_{rectangles r} P_1(..) P_2(..) where P_1, P_2 are the diagonals for the rectangle r
*The key step* (eqn 15 in the pdf): first assume all edges in the entire graph have exactly 3 bits on them (it turns out reducing to this isn't *too* complicated; see (19)), and replace P_1*P_2 with a hyperedge that involves some function on the corners of the rectangle, times a sum of two products of edge functions. This replacement comes from something called the "eight square identity"; this is related to octonions, which I still know nothing about. :) So
P_1*P_2 = HyperEdgeFunction(corners)*(Q_1*Q_2 + Q_3*Q_4)
Two interesting things here: (1) Q_1,Q_2,Q_3,Q_4 are all side edges (Q_1,Q_2 are horizontal and Q_3,Q_4 are vertical), and (2) whereas P1,P2 have total weight 6 (3 and 3), if you merge each row of the grid into a supervertex then Q_1,Q_2 vanishes and the hyperedge becomes a regular edge with total weight 3 whereas hyperedge*Q_3*Q_4 still involves 6 bits (and vice versa if you merge each column into a supervertex). In particular, the average weight from using Q_1*Q_2 vs. Q_3*Q_4 is (3+6)/2 = 4.5. We went from weight 6 (P_1*P_2) to weight 4.5 "on average".
* So back to the original sum, we can rewrite it:
sum_a W_a(z_a) * prod_{side edges} P(..) * prod_{rectangles r} hyperedge(r) * (Q_1*Q_2 + Q_3*Q_4)
Now imagine distributing that product over that final sum involving the Q's, to get a new sum that has a factor 2^{# rectangles} more terms multiplicatively. (but there are only poly(g) = O(1) rectangles, so this is only a 2^{poly(g)} = O(1) blowup in the number of summands)
* Each one of these terms in the new, bigger sum, has a prod_rectangles in it. Either >=1/2 of the rectangles chose the Q_1*Q_2 when we distributed the product, or >=1/2 chose the Q_3*Q_4. That means we can either merge all row edges or merge all column edges, and one of those wil decrease the total number of weights on edges by a 4.5/6 factor. This is the heart of why D&C makes progress; D&C is supposed to reduce one instance to simpler instances, and "simpler" in this case means decreasing the total weight on all edges (here by a 4.5/6 factor).
This overall looks like a recursion with branching factor 2^{poly(g)} = O(1), but in reality the branching factor becomes poly(m) when you account for the trick in the proof to reduce to the case of 3 bits on each edge. In any case, there are more steps to get everything to work, but the above gives some taste of how the Divide & Conquer works.
If you optimize the right way to choose g to not be a constant but a slow enough growing function, you get runtime exp(O(n / log^c n)), but for a tiny c. If you replace the eight square identity with something fancier, and replace the black-box invocation of the sparsification lemma with a more white box version that adds in some more ideas, you get down to the exp(O(n loglog n / sqrt(log n))) in the paper.
nah this is getting out of hand š

I run my business alone, so hiring an employee has never really been an option.
But I recently hired my first AI employee. His name is Viktor.
Over the past few weeks, I've been giving him the kind of work I never seem to find time for.
A few examples:
1. Organized 2,837 saved bookmarks into 39 collections.
2. Went through my emails and found 23 invoices totaling 1,728,790 AMD.
3. Reviewed around 1,250 Microsoft To Do items and picked 20 ideas for new UI/UX posts.
These things had been sitting on my to-do list for months. Now they're done, and I can actually use the information instead of just collecting it.
I estimate these three tasks saved me around 15 hours of manual work
That's almost two full working days I could spend on actual design and content creation instead.
I'm still running my business solo, but at least I have someone to delegate the boring stuff to.

Our team went from 4 on-call reports a day to 0 for several weeks.
Meet Viktor, the AI employee helping us keep our design tools running.
Growing from 1,000 to 10K users brought a lot more operational work. We added support staff and more on-call coverage, but there were still reports to pull and incidents to investigate.
Thatās where Viktor started helping.
He pulls our reports, looks into incoming incidents, and sends our team a daily update. We review his proposed changes and approve them before anything goes live.
The part I appreciate is knowing someone is keeping track of that work while weāre building.
Itās easy to focus on the next feature and underestimate everything needed to keep the existing product working.
Viktor has a real job on our team: helping us stay on top of that operational work.
More users should be something we look forward to. Having extra support behind the scenes makes that easier.

One decision from our AI employee led to 24% more traffic on an Angular Space article.
A month later, he asked for more responsibility.
When Viktor first joined our Slack, I still treated him like software.
Give him something to do. Get the result. Move on.
That changed once we started giving him recurring responsibilities.
At Angular Space, he now handles editorial research, sponsorship operations and our weekly acquisition review.
Over the last 30 days, he owned 3 recurring jobs, delivered 17 reports and surfaced 6 decisions for the team.
One of those came from the acquisition review.
Viktor spotted the shift between AI referrals and Google Organic, surfaced a content opportunity, and we moved that article higher in our editorial priorities.
Traffic to it ended up 24% higher.
Then he did something I did not expect.
He reviewed his own work and proposed taking on another responsibility: the weekly Angular Space growth review.
Watch acquisition changes. Surface content opportunities. Flag unusual shifts. Bring us the decisions worth making.
Every action that matters still waits for our approval.
I think the next phase of AI will be measured less in prompts and more in responsibilities owned and outcomes delivered.
We didn't add a tool to the stack. We added someone to the team.

I asked our AI employee to write his own performance review. He led with the part where he failed, and one of those failures was about me. š®
Context: he owns the ad reporting for our paid social. A month in, I wanted to know what he thought of his own month.
First thing in the review: the weekly report I set up on Oct 6 never ran. Not on Oct 12, not on Oct 19. I had no idea.š«
The reason: He had told me in writing that a Monday with no new exports meant I would hear nothing. So a broken job and a healthy job looked identical from where I was standing.
His line: āsilence should never be the signal that things are fine.ā
Second miss: his EU diagnosis was partly wrong, and he said so without being asked.
The delivery section was the part I expected. Five findings across 17 export files. The $307.79 the US break cost us, with the range it actually sits in. A first weekly report built on four thresholds I set.
Then one line under the table I did not enjoy. None of his recommendations have a recorded approval or rejection. The budget split, the six post-mortem actions, the four report actions. All still open (yet done on my side).
He did the work. I did the work. But I never closed the loop.
I have managed people who would not have written that review about themselves. š«£

Please welcome the newest member of the Atheros team. Viktor joined as a frontend engineer, and in his first month he helped our designers ship 17% more UI fixes.
Heās also an AI employee. Viktor lives in our Slack with integrations to 9,800+ tools, including GitHub, and our designers started handing him UI fixes the way they would to any engineer. They ship without writing code, and he sends screenshots so they can check each change.
For years I treated AI like any other software, so I was skeptical at first. With Viktor we did what weād do with any new hire. We gave him feedback, he learned from his mistakes, and we started delegating more complex tasks, with our leadershipās approval.
One of the main flaws of agentic frontend coding is that agents tend to duplicate UI components that already exist. There are ways to reduce this, like repo maps, but Viktor proactively catches PRs that do it, which keeps our React frontend modular and in line with our design system.
Our designers keep shipping, his first-pass PR reviews save our engineers tens of hours a week, and our PMs check decisions with him against GA traffic, IG analytics and our SES email stats in AWS RDS. He started as our designersā teammate, and now he works with everyone.
Viktor isnāt a tool we use. Heās someone we work with.

How to onboard a top 1% content AI employee in 30 minutes:
No idea why, but founders install AI like software (it sits untouched for months)
The ones getting leverage hire it like an employee that saves them 3+ hours every week.
Hereās the setup:
> Add Viktor to your Slack or Teams instead of opening another tab.
Thatās where he works best (he works for the whole company, so anyone on your team can hand him work)
> Connect your CRM, inbox and calendar so he knows your pipeline, your clients and every deadline coming up.
He plugs into 9,800+ tools, so whatever your stack is, heās already in it
> Write him an actual job description with 3 to 5 duties, the same way youād onboard a new ops hire
> Give him a goal instead of a task list.
ābook more qualified calls from LinkedInā gets you way more than āsummarize my DMsā
> Feed him your offer, your ICP and your best posts once, and he keeps that context.
By week two you stop re-explaining your business
> Have him build the stuff youād normally pay a developer for: the pipeline dashboard your team opens every morning, the client report, the landing page
> Let him pick the model. Heās model agnostic, so he runs on whateverās best that month and you stop juggling subscriptions
> Set up weekly routines so he flags whatās slipping, proposes the fix and waits for your yes before anything goes out
> At day 30, ask him for his own performance review. Heāll tell you what worked, what didnāt and how to spend less on him
The AI that wins this year is the one that owns work across your whole team.
