Update:
My mom is back in the hospital. Her latest scans showed that the 3-months chemotherapy cycle she received did not work on her
Not only her tumor did not shrink but it also increased a little.
She also had side effects from the disease itself and got a few strokes that left her left arm paralyzed.
She likely will not come back home anytime soon - she’s resting at the hospital for a few days and then she’ll probably move into a specialized facility to help her regain control of her left arm.
The doctors are even more alarmist now. They started talking to us about palliative care and it does not seem as if they have much hope for my mom’s health
It’s funny because when I came back from San Francisco just 4 months ago she was still healthy, working, exercising. And now she’s staying in her hospital room 24/7 while being barely able to move around
Doctors want to make us understand that it is likely the end for her.
The thing is that I do not really care about what the doctors want me to believe. I still feel grounded and confident in what will come next
Doctors can be scared but I trust God and therefore I cannot be scared as they are
If it’s the end for my mom then it is. But as long as she’s alive, I know that there is still hope and that being pessimistic never brought anyone anywhere
Thank you again for everyone that donated on the GoFundMe. Unfortunately I couldn’t give her IV Vitamin C since she was too scared to receive it and now she’s at the hospital 24/7 which means we can’t have a nurse inject this into her blood
The money received from your guys is still used towards her health recovery only.
I feel at peace. Take care of your loved ones

Brazil's prison gangs took their operations airborne
PCC (First Capital Command) and Red Command started using drones to bypass prison security. Phones, drugs, micro-cameras, even disassembled weapons - dropped directly into prison yards. Guards can't stop what they can't reach.

Cheap drones are becoming a nightmare in Latin America
- Jalisco Cartel in Mexico
- ELN in Colombia
- PCC & Red Command in Brazil
All using commercial drones for operations
A few hundred dollars to buy. Millions to counter.

Mexico's cartels turned cheap drones into weapons of war ⬇️
Jalisco Cartel (CJNG) has been weaponizing commercial drones since at least 2020. They strap C4 explosives and fragmentation grenades to them. Cost per drone: a few hundred bucks.

People love a good downfall.
Gives them a nice little excuse for why they never had a meteoric rise of their own.

Tang Tan spent 24 years learning how Apple keeps secrets. Then 14 months teaching people how to leave with them.
APPLE IS PERSONALLY SUING HIM FOR: TRADE SECRET THEFT. BREACH OF CONTRACT. WILLFUL. EXEMPLARY DAMAGES.

wait... is it really this easy to get 30 UGC creatives for $5?
I made a full 10-min walkthrough showing the exact setup — comment "UGC" to get it.

You are a VC doing a walkthrough of a new defense tech startup.
You see a row of Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printers churning out dozens of prototypes for the future of American anti-drone technology.
You see nothing wrong with this setup. You write them a $250k check.
I almost passed on Perseus Defense because they had zero ARR.
That would have been the worst mistake of my career.
Applying SaaS metrics to defense hardware is like judging a nuclear submarine by its app store rating.
Perseus was founded by an engineer who led NASA's Titan Dragonfly program and another who built autonomous systems for Boeing and USV swarms for the Navy.
The Ukraine conflict proved that $500 drones can destroy $100M military assets.
Perseus was solving that problem at speed - a functional micro-UAS prototype in one week, two guided missile versions a month later.
The DoD at the table is the early customer.
That's not a pipeline.
That's a market validation no ARR dashboard can replicate.
Stop asking hardware founders about recurring revenue.
Start asking whether the problem they're solving can afford to wait.
