Gasoline not catching the same bid as diesel and crude, makes sense considering seasonality. Based on spot market values (netting out operational costs and the RVO) some markets are seeing incredibly slim margins for gasoline

Our assessments for ethanol-related D6 and biomass-based diesel D4 RINs rose to three-week highs today as market reactions to the U.S. midterm elections added nearly 20cts to the BOHO spread.
I wonder if Valero could also use the facility to expand its #renewablediesel and #SAF production. #biofuel #OOTT #OOAT
Soybean oil use in #biofuels has surged past its use in food, feed, and other industrial applications, according to a @USDA_ERS note today. #biodiesel #renewablediesel #SAF #cleanfuel #OOTT #OOAT

It was an honor to sign a cooperative agreement yesterday with Ambassador Karen Eva Abrahamsen of the Royal Danish Embassy.
This next phase of our partnership focuses on areas like developing our ports and sustainable aviation fuel. We also look forward to working together on industrial symbiosis — making business more efficient by capturing waste from one industry and using it for another — an area where Washington state leads the nation.
We're excited for further research and business partnerships, study and trade missions, and more. I'm proud to have this strong partnership with Denmark.

Thank you to everyone who made the 18th annual RFS, RINs and #Biofuels Forum a success! We’re grateful to our sponsors, speakers and attendees for joining us and contributing to the conversations. See you next year!

"The RFS should be driving volumes and providing market certainty. It’s now doing the former and not the latter."

OMB finished reviewing EPA's proposed rule on reallocating waived SRE volumes faster than most people expected. Given the timing, an announcement could come this week while most of us are at OPIS in Chicago. See you there. #biofuels
I’m looking forward to attending the 18th Annual @OPISBiofuels RFS, RINs & Biofuels Forum next week in Chicago. On Wednesday, Oct. 14, I’ll be moderating a panel with @biofuelslaw, VP of Renewables Policy at Montana Renewables, on the state of the biomass-based diesel industry.
It will be a timely opportunity to hear how the sector is responding to changing market dynamics and what’s ahead. Hope to see you there.

Phase 1 initiated.
The proposed reallocation of additional 2025 SREs is posted on the OMB site.
Now that we're in October, reallocation chatter on the incremental 2025 SREs (announced 8/31) is starting to pick up.

The BOHO spread was lower for a third consecutive session. It's down 22.8cts since the end of last week, coinciding with rallying ULSD prices.
BOHO fell 66.03cts in Sept. In the middle of the month, it dropped into the negative (as far as -5.73cts) for the first time since 2019.
Soybean oil demand at #biodiesel and #renewablediesel plants continues to climb, as plants consumed 1.687 billion lbs of the feedstock in July, per the latest @EIAgov data released today. #biofuels #renewablefuel #feedstock #soybeanoil #OOTT #OOAT

Ethanol spots reached multiyear highs this week before corn losses applied pressure, while RIN prices rose from last week's three-week lows.

Our BOHO spread calculation today was the lowest since May 2019, when the spread dropped below -6cts for three sessions in a row, bottoming out at -6.81cts on May 9.
Those three days in May 2019 were part of a longer 17-session streak of negative figures.
