We just held an @openteamsinc webinar on roughly this topic: youtu.be/xSFpZtya7I8?si=-h_0… It focuses more on those interested in making this jump, and how to navigate it...but I think it could also be useful to solidify a sense of 'no, I want to stay on the engineering side.'

Lattner is *so convinced* that ".🔥" is avant garde. He talks about it @ beginning of the recent Lex episode: youtube.com/watch?v=pdJQ8iVT… But I'm 100% WTF on this. Yes, sure, an extension that requires, at minimum, a keyboard chord + several keystrokes or mousing. CLI UX FTW. 💪

But even the simplest non-linear systems can show incredible complexity, as long as they are driven strongly enough. Take the humble logistic quadratic equation: x_{i+1} = R*x_i*(1-x_i). Choose a high enough R, and you get *lots* of complexity. (from labroots.com/trending/chemis…)

My secret to an all-green Github tileboard is to have a repo whose job is to curate an RSS feed, set up with a cronjob that commits to main every day, whether or not there are new feed entries. You can, uh ... still tell what the real story is, though.
