As a young developer making art with code, Mario Klingemann was an inspiration, always on the cutting edge and pushing the boundaries of what was possible. He continues to this day with AI-driven explorations of unknown worlds.
I followed his blog for years, went to Flash conferences to hear him speak, and last night managed to meet him in person again at a local Portland gallery where he and his wife had works on display.
Amazingly there was not a queue of #generativeart and #nft fans waiting for autographs. Thanks for the friendly chat, @quasimondo. Your generosity of spirit, process, and code continue to inspire.

That time I spent a month making a realistic clone of MS Paint (1985) using Vue.js. Skipped a few features but did a good job replicating its primitive drawing behavior and other annoyances. Includes undo/redo and PNG Export. #vuejs #portfolio #fall2016

Prompt: “the living calculus that traverses and suffuses the dao, actualizing and naming things and creating the illusion of change by means of selection. Emergent complexity on graph paper. Mood: sacred, terrible --uplight --v 4 --q 2”
ALT Four complex geometric images drawn in colored pencil on graph paper. Each focuses on a spherical shape whose internals are partly exposed.

I spent the last 15 years working as a contractor, but today I started an actual full-time job. Principal Software Engineer at Centric Software, Innovation Group. @Centric_PLM
I am primarily focused on front-end application development (react) on a highly configurable visualization toolkit ("VIP") tied their PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Software.
I’m here to announce that I am moving on from my current role as lead engineer at Frqncy, a streaming startup here in Portland. It was fun while it lasted. I’m now exploring new opportunities. ❤️ #vue #react #webrtc #graphql #typescript #prisma #sanity #devops #fullstack
I’m super proud of the work we did @FRQNCY_live. I will share more on my website and on LinkedIn in the coming days. For now, taking a moment to rest and reset while considering what will come next. Thanks for the support, all.

The site made by @bumpslide showcasing dancing moves through AR can help you practice some slick moves while self-quarantining. We definitively recommend checking it out on your phone! sanity.io/blog/community-dig…

Finishing our first web project with Sanity CMS @sanity_io. A unique blend of fairly-priced hosted data and GraphQL APIs with an open-source, self-hosted CMS framework. Tight integrations with @gatsbyjs and @gridsome and a great Slack community. Feeling empowered.💕
