Do the Browns have refs at practice? There’s no way this is just a gameday issue. These penalties are habits that are clearly unchecked during the week.
So after one quarter, the #Browns:
* Have -1 yards of offense
* Fumbled at midfield twice
* Gave up 51 yard run on 3rd & 13
* Have multiple penalties
And are about to be down 14-0.
It's days like this that keep us from trusting any progress. Awful.

For all the positives with Todd Monken, he HAS to do something about these slow starts.
Would love to stop with all the short East-West passes, for one.
It doesn't help that Deshaun has NO IDEA what he's seeing out there.
