T. J. Houshmandzadeh questioned why Jared Verse expected his teammates to defend him after the Steelers incident, arguing that Verse needed to get up and stand up for himself before expecting others to step in.
“If you’re a player and you’re on the ground, how do your teammates know you got on the ground? Nobody is even looking. This is how you get your teammates to get on your defense: You get up, and you defend yourself. They want you to start to defend yourself, and your teammates are like, ‘Wait. What’s going on?’ Then, they can come in. Nobody saw what happened. You didn’t even get up and do anything. How am I gonna defend somebody that ain’t ready to defend themselves? You not mad, but you expect me to be mad? You weren’t ready to risk it, but you want me to risk it?"

I had a friend growing up… he always wanted to start fights with folks… it was cool for a while, until I realized, he just talked too much. We stopped being friends when he got beat up for talking and I didn’t help. But he learned a lesson… stop talkin. #LessonLearned
#Browns DE Jared Verse says he was upset his teammates didn’t stand up for him after #Steelers G Mason McCormick threw him to the turf—and he had that conversation with them.
“That honestly could have put me in a position to not be able to finish the season, put me in a position to change my life in a very bad aspect.”

here's Deshaun again taking a 7-8 step drop out of shotgun. watch Tyus Howard (no. 71) seem to turn to the sideline with his hands in the air in frustration when he sees where Deshaun is

Do the Browns have refs at practice? There’s no way this is just a gameday issue. These penalties are habits that are clearly unchecked during the week.
