California is a huge state. Yes, there are a lot of Democrats here, but also plenty of Republicans and also many of us Libertarians.
Don't assume where we stand based on where we live.

Qualified immunity should be ended for ALL government employees, not just ICE.

Without police, who would kidnap your children from their teenage babysitter and give them to a violent man to keep them safe
Bodycam footage shows Florida deputies arresting a mother at an airport after authorities say she left her four children, ages 9, 11, 12 and 14, home alone while traveling to Las Vegas for work.
Irene Miller, 50, was taken into custody Friday as she stepped off a plane. Two days earlier, one of her children had called 911 after a dumbbell fell on her 9-year-old brother's head.
When deputies arrived at the family's Kissimmee home, they found the children without adult supervision and had the injured boy taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released. Miller now faces four counts of child neglect.
When government owns the means of production... isn't that socialism?
Yes. Yes, it is.
The Trump administration now holds equity stakes in 40 private companies. And politicians on both sides of the aisle are planning to build on the precedent.
Cato's @DeHavenTad explains why this is a bipartisan threat to free enterprise. #CatoRFE

Don't believe claims without evidence to back it.
Especially from government politicians!
The White House Council of Economic Advisers claims illegal immigrants cost taxpayers $166,716 each. Cato's @David_J_Bier says those estimates aren't credible. They have actually reduced federal, state, and local deficits by $1.7 trillion over 30 years.

Without government, who would raid your home because you complained to an airline that they were flying to low over your property?

Socialists say capitalism hurt the poor.
But it doesn’t!
For thousands of years, everyone was poor. Only when countries tried capitalism, did wealth grow.
"A higher standard of living comes from trading with one another," says @SteveForbesCEO of @Forbes.
Here's why:
The Case for Capitalism: Voluntary Trade, Wealth & Why Socialism Fails
62% of American young adults favor socialism. But that’s just ignorant. Capitalism is the only system that creates better lives for more people!

In Mali, being gay is punishable by up to seven years in prison.
The United States just illegally sent a man to Mali (chain refoulment,) and now they're giving the government of Mali a signed confession to incarcerate him.
This illegal alien is @60Minutes poster child for what it claims are wrongful deportations. I pulled his file. His claimed reason for fearing Mali was that he is “gay,” just in case you’re wondering how bad the immigration fraud problem is.

Isn't that like a bribe?
Mike Rogers’ wife is handing out $10 gas cards in Michigan while asking people to vote for her husband.
Republicans made gas unaffordable. Now they’re offering $10 to keep them in power.

Better make sure your economic system sets up good incentives, or else nobody will bother to create value.

Econ 101.
Trump’s tariffs raised prices on more than imports. New York Fed researchers found they also pushed up the cost of American-made goods.

Pretty much all of Trump's policy-making is legally dubious, really.
