25 years ago today Welles Crowther gave his life helping others on 9/11. This is the best story @espn has ever done. Share it with your kids and any others who may not have been alive on 9/11 and don’t know what true bravery in the face of evil is.

Once upon a time, there was a CS AB AP exam that was the equivalent of two semesters of freshman CS. It was killed in 2009, leaving CS A, where high school students take a full year to cover one semester of material.
TIL that in 2025 they dumbed it down further and removed polymorphism entirely.
I'm cheering for @tracewoodgrains and @educprogress but man if you want your kids to be challenged you probably just need to home school somehow, it's like America is now terrified of demanding anything from the children it's nominally educating.

When these policies pass, autism diagnoses increase by almost 25% in one year!

Fuzz testing is an absolute must for any database (or any sophisticated system/program whatsoever). Trying to compose the edge-cases manually is tedious, hard to review, and is likely to still live a lot uncovered. Randomised tests are easier to develop, maintain and run.

If you step on the mound and you don't believe you're at least a little bit invincible, then your physical/mental preparation probably wasn't good enough.

When MLB expands to 32 teams, it should forget the AL and NL.
Embrace a dramatic geographic realignment.
