I got tired of having 50+ dead Git branches sitting on my machine after PRs get merged. Deleting them manually is annoying. git branch -D is also terrifying when you’re not 100% sure the work is actually gone. So I started building Brancla. A Git branch cleanup tool that checks GitHub/GitLab, detects dead branches, verifies whether they’re actually safe to delete, and lets you clean them up without accidentally nuking unmerged work. Install: npm i -g brancla or pip install brancla Then: brancla —help brancla scan brancla clean --dry-run brancla clean CLI first. VS Code extension (pro’lly when I’m chanced to build one😅). And every deletion gets a local backup ref so it can be restored. the ai race is getting CRAZY. every day a new model launches. every week there's a headline saying "this is the end of openai." monday: openai drops something. tuesday: google answers back with gemini. wednesday: anthropic, meta, deepseek, grok all say "hold my beer." thursday: another open-source model becomes the "best ever." friday: you realize you haven't even tried monday’s model yet. we went from waiting months for one update to getting 5 groundbreaking models in a week. it's exciting, it's inspiring, and it's also overwhelming as hell.
