I may not be the best, or the most talented, but when it comes to who can suffer the longest and keep going, I like my odds

Small fraction of shorts left open from 80.3 - majority closed - and switched to longs ... Lets see - touch and go - not a fan of holding anything into the weekend but if theres a short term delta unwind - would like to see it play out in this next session or so...

One of the 7 patterns in my playbook: Double Bottom w/ Sweep 👇 1. First low 2. Sweep of that low 3. Large selling volume 4. Initiation from buyers 5. Acceptance back above range low

From a trading asymmetric risk-reward perspective, I find the downside in equities increasingly attractive - and has most of my attention whilst I let short positions on alt playout if theyre heading lower... With PPI on the horizon, it sets up for an interesting session tomorrow into Friday - be agile....

$BTC Exhibit C - The bands... (as confluence) Price finding sellers which was confluent with daily 12/25 bands ... in line with stacked sells overnight (see third image) and just beneath the htf range lows... aka lower high Personally closed the majority of the short here into the 50w MA Back to ltf and contemplating a probable long if we take out the sept fomc lows and get a good enough reaction to switch long again for few thousand points higher... Decent book depth for now (what matters is how price trades into them and should the bids not get pulled - the ladder helps - delta as well)... so ideally would want to see if forced sellers / liqs absorbed... Acceptance below those lows and the inability to absorb probable liquidations around sept fomc low = flushes lower... Just a matter of reacting... If none of that makes sense just draw an 8k wide monthly order block and call it support Cheers
$SOL From a swing trading or spot perspective... You just dont fade the daily bands into a previous range high particularly when: 1. The trajectory of the daily bands continues to trend lower with no slow down in momentum - not even remotely basing out... 2. It's rolled over the weekly's and that becomes resistance... It's not difficult ... Why fight the trend... Stick to a simple framework and you'll be ok imo... or at least keep out of sub standard trades - pissing against the wind!

$SOL Losing the weekly 12/21/25 EMAs is hardly the backdrop in which I’d be looking to position for a significant swing higher, at least not until a credible basing structure begins to develop. The same principle applies across much of the altcoin market. I’m surprised by how many on my timeline continue to buy dips that seemingly keep dropping lower... very brave - but i'll pass thanks. I’d rather exercise patience and wait for clear evidence of accumulation structures before considering meaningful long exposure. Keep it simple... stupid

Appreciate the kind words. Learning to short is just as valuable as learning to go long. More importantly, it teaches you to recognise downside risk, adapt to changing market conditions, preserve capital and, when the opportunity presents itself, participate in the downside. You can teach someone to become exceptional at PA/TA, yet without rational judgement/quotient, emotional discipline and the ability to execute under uncertainty, consistency will remain elusive... Figure out and trust your process tbh - so many traders dont have one... remain methodical and respect the prevailing trend. I've said before that a simple framework of EMA bands can provide more discipline on the way down than repeatedly attempting to pick bottoms. Sometimes the simplest of edges is knowing when not to fight the market... long or short...
I think to be a real trader, you need to master shorting, which is super hard. I learnt from @Trader_XO , he is a goat. In my first bear market, i lost too much longing and catching knife, but now im happy. Thank you.

End of Month 2 - Crypto Perps Acc Only Performance - Account Growth: +38% cumulative (8 weeks) - Max DD: <3% peak-to-trough uPnL (October) - Sharpe: 6+ October | ~4.6s running - Risk per Trade: 0.25–1% Markets have been largely rotational, so mostly batting for singles, although catching the downside in alts mid-month accounted for the bulk of October's gains - made some subtle adjustments heading into November. Having built a solid PnL buffer, I'll be looking to get more selectively aggressive over the coming months. Not through oversized initial positions but by dynamically adding to winners as the thesis plays out, particularly on short time frame based rotations... while keeping downside risk firmly in check... Nothing flashy, just steady, honest work, me against myself and earning the right to scale size through consistency. Bring on November...
First month back trading crypto perps... excluding spot plays/accounts. +22% account growth vs my usual 6–7% monthly target. -6% max peak-to-trough drawdown on uPnL. Too early to put much weight on Sharpe/Calmar, though Sharpe has held around 4+. That’ll normalise with a larger sample. Traded like dogshit by my own standards, but stuck to the rules and kept risk sensible. I always tend to warm up on the first month back prior to increasing acc size. Its not flashy, but steady honest work, me against myself... earning the right to scale up the account size. Bring on Q4...

Bitcoin is showing interesting signs of a regime change. Long-term price trends have turned positive, while several on-chain measures of investor profitability are starting to recover from months of weakness. Is the bear market over? alphabetasoup.substack.com/p…

$BTC Weekly chart See previous tweet for notes and reference...and the one before that in terms of weekly stoch for momentum... Key zone around here imo confluent with the 50w MA and 365d rolling vwap - also lines up with the 12/21/25 weekly EMA's If we start trading through this zone here with no snapback / then I think the play for the remainder of Q4 leans towards building a much bigger accumulation base within this 60s-80s range... which has been my main scenario and one that I've enjoyed trading. HTF spot play = looking to keep adding to spot over the coming months - Bottoming process takes time - plus the bands arent fully aligned yet imo... and I'm not a big fan of the current shorter term macro outlook for Q4 But with that comes opportunity...

Before you click buy, ask yourself one question. nitter.gq/SailorManCrypto/status…
Is Your Entry Valid? CHEAT SHEET You voted for this one, so let's answer the actual question behind it. Not "is the setup good," you've heard that a hundred times. The real question is narrower and it's the one that actually costs people money: how do you know your entry's already been invalidated before you even hit confirm? Most traders never ask this. They wait for confirmation, they get it, they click, and they never check whether the thing they're confirming is still true by the time they act on it. Markets move in the gap between "I see it" and "I clicked it," and that gap is where most bad entries are born. 5 specific ways this happens. One per post below, each with the chart to go with it. Save the images, this is the kind of thing you want on hand before your next entry, not after it goes wrong. Pop

In case you missed it last week: the 3 levels I check on every range. nitter.gq/SailorManCrypto/status…
VALUE AREA - CHEAT SHEET VAH, VAL AND POC, THE 3 LEVELS I CHECK ON EVERY RANGE You voted, I delivered! Price tells you where the market went. Volume tells you where the market agreed. These are the levels that come out of it. 1. POC (Point of Control) The price where the most volume traded. WHY: it's the price both sides found the fairest. Price tends to come back to it, like a magnet. That also makes it the chop zone, so I don't trade inside it. 2. THE VALUE AREA The zone where most of the volume traded. The default is 70%, I use 90%. WHY: this is where the market agrees on value. I set it at 90% because it pushes VAH and VAL out to the edges of the range. That gives me better risk-reward on setups at the edges, and it catches deviations right where they form. At 70% the value area cuts them off. 3. VAH (Value Area High) The top of value. WHY: above it, price is expensive for the market. Buyers have to prove they can hold it. 4. VAL (Value Area Low) The bottom of value. WHY: below it, price is cheap for the market. Sellers have to prove they can hold it. 5. ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTION When price leaves value, watch what it does next. WHY: if it holds outside and builds volume there, value is moving (acceptance). If it gets back inside fast, the move outside was a trap (rejection). 6. HOW I TRADE IT A sweep outside VAL or VAH that gets back inside is my range deviation. WHY: the breakout traders are trapped, and price often rotates to the POC first, then to the other edge of value. What it means: the value area doesn't tell you the direction. It tells you where the fair price is, and who is trapped when price leaves it. PRO TIP: when price breaks out of the range, anchor your FRVP up to just before the breakout, without the deviation candles. Include them and your VAL (or VAH) moves with the deviation, and you lose the level you need to watch for the reclaim. Pop
