1-Hedge funds all sell at the same time. Stocks start to drop. 2-Retail panics and sells at a loss. Stocks drop even further. 3-Hedge funds buy the dip, stocks start to rise. 4-Retail sees the stocks rise, starts buying again. Stocks skyrocket. rinse and repeat
