I’ve decided to step away from my role at Crypto.com and begin a new chapter. Reach out if you’re cooking up something fun and think there may be an opportunity for us to collaborate.

In the gambling world, many people believe sharing ideas is at best a zero-sum game. In my experience, collaborating with others with no expectation of gain has been very positive. Tightly holding edges until they vanish is not nearly as valuable as sharing and exploring, finding out what you did wrong, and learning from others.
ahh sunday morning let us have a relaxing browse of the news reportings on the two decagon titans of american prediction ma
So like I said I built a little market making bot and I have to say it has been a joy and a privilege to be back in the arena this week, getting it in with the best of it, and absolutely getting blasted every day

I have been market making on Kalshi for the last month or so for fun, and sold about 50 million contracts so far. I've been struggling to figure out why the market seems to consistently price Patriots, Ravens, Commanders and Lions lower than I think it should.
Tried every method I could to validate my methodology and couldn't crack it. Super frustrating. What do they know that I don't?
Finally figred out the incredibly obvious answer - Kalshi is banned in Mass, Maryland and Michigan. I am an idiot.

I built a little trading bot and its position was Texas moneyline and OSU +1.5 and I'm pretty sure I'm the next @RufusPeabody
Novig is being very smart and strategic here with this counter-positioning, sacrificing some short-term volume to show they are collaborative and on the right side of some of the moral issues in the space. Partners care about this stuff. Regulators too. Play the long game. 👀
We received a letter from the @NFL late last week on markets that are "easily manipulable, inherently objectionable, officiating related, and knowable in advance." Shared examples include a kicker missing a field goal or a celebrity attending a game.
@Novig is in full agreement with the NFL in not offering these markets, with no exceptions.
Separate from the letter we received last week, we are also in full agreement with the NFL that prediction markets should only be available to those 21 or older. Novig has been, and always will be, 21+.
Also, if your exchange didn't shit the bed in the past 24 hours I encourage you not to gloat, as this stuff happens to everyone and will happen to you, too.
My experience of building and operating a CFTC predictions exchange is that it's extremely difficult, technical work, operationally intensive in a way that is not obvious, and literally everyone who tries underestimates these aspects of running the business.
