Canada. You’re voting for people who will gleefully murder you when you’re too expensive.
Shocking - New Liberal MAID bill would allow MAID/euthanasia to be administered in certain circumstances WITHOUT informing the patient of what is about to happen. If someone signs an advance request, the practitioner would NOT be required to even talk to them before ending their life.

She tells a story of football coaches engineering their training regimen so that children are directly incentivized to build the desired capabilities & then she's like "I shouldn't have to do that, the kids should just figure it out" I am on👏my👏break👏

In October 1917, as the Bolsheviks violently seized power and used heavy artillery to shell historic churches and the Kremlin walls, the Orthodox bishops were meeting in Moscow to reform the liturgy to encourage more active lay participation. Bishops can be blind to reality.
The Vatican’s liturgy office has published details of a meeting in which it described the wearing of chapel veils and receiving Communion kneeling as a source of “division and confusion”. ✍️ Michael Haynes thecatholicherald.com/articl…

10k Starship launches/year is just from Starbase Louisiana
In a comment to the FAA, SpaceX says it wants to launch 10,000 times per year. The FAA asked for input on where to build new spaceports and how to give rocket launches priority in US airspace. They're preparing for 10,000 launches a year by 2035. SpaceX replied that rockets aren't the bottleneck anymore, the FAA's outdated air traffic processes are. They created their own airspace tool (Cleared) that most major US airlines already get for free. They also noted that Starbase Louisiana is designed for ~30 launches and reentries PER DAY (!!)

Ok I admit I did not have 'SpaceX rewrites aviation control software to launch more' on my bingo card. This company does not take no for an answer it's truly something else...

Airbnb hosts are seething mad they can't commit fraud anymore. Their 3 pages of checkout chores aren't listed on the listing but instead tacked to the wall when you walk in the door. The $400 cleaning fee is charged regardless if you do the 3 pages of chores or not. They pay an illegal $50 to do a quick cleanup (if they even get someone to clean it at all). By every legal definition they are committing fraud. This is why they are mad.

i am coming to the conclusion that the reason that so many of these college students so rabidly hated charlie is not because of what he said when he was holding the mic but rather what he asked them to say when he handed the mic to them. there's a stunning incoherence to their views. so angry, so confident, so entitled, and so completely, utterly unable to explain why or what they even believe. never have so many known so little and yet felt so certain about so much. there is no capacity for critical thinking or discourse, not even a basic semantic grasp of the concepts. it's just an entitlement-flavored word salad spewed forth as some talismanic claim to deference and respect. the greatest vulnerability of the marxist midwiped is being asked to explain what they are talking about. ask what their magic words mean, why they use them, what they signify, how the problems and processes they posit work. ask how they would do things. ask what they are asking for. the results are amazing.

🚀Excited to announce Nanbeige4.3-33B! To push the performance ceiling of small agents, our strategy in Nanbeige4.3 starts with building a powerful teacher first. Nanbeige4.3-33B delivers SOTA agentic performance among open models at ~30B parameters: * Strong results on agentic coding and cowork benchmarks. * When integrated into mainstream agent harnesses, it tackles real-world tasks with cost-efficient inference. * It will serve as a teacher for upcoming smaller Nanbeige models, starting with Nanbeige4.3-3B. huggingface.co/Nanbeige/Nanb… huggingface.co/Nanbeige/Nanb… #LLM #Agent

Linux is now banned from r/opensource. The jokes of Reddit mods write itself.
The r/OpenSource subreddit has officially banned anything using AI. In any way. Violators will be permanently banned. Which means… r/OpenSource will ban anyone submitting anything that, in any way, involves… the Linux kernel. reddit.com/r/opensource/comm…

Nothing redpills a woman more than getting treated like a man
Middle aged female sociology teacher has been ranting for the last half an hour about how unfair no fault divorce is because her husband ditched her, moved to Thailand, married a 19 year old, and she was just informed he will be getting half her pension when she retires.

Perhaps something to consider if you work at OpenAI / Anthropic: If your policies have produced an outcome like 'if a researcher wants to do software verification research then they have use a Chinese model', then perhaps your approach to 'safety' is net negative.

this doesn’t make any sense the TV at the bar, the TV at my friend’s house, the TV I bought second hand, the TV at work I’m surrounded by TVs for which I’ve never even been presented by a TOS let alone agreed to one. is everyone just committing felonies by not disclosing this? “it was in the TOS” is just not an excuse by any reasonable measure of consent

The REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) situation with Claude proves the core thesis: 🛑 As soon as hosted AI agents get good enough to touch real-world binary analysis, reverse engineering, or enterprise IP boundaries, closed-lab guardrails slam shut mid-token. Commercial interests & legal exposure will always dictate API boundaries. If you don’t control the weights locally, your workflow can be deprecated overnight without warning. Open models aren't just an alternative they’re insurance. 🧠⚡

When Dario says "AI Safety" he means that your devices, including Claude, can spy on you, without any consent implied or improvized, and you're not allowed to even try and fight back.
anthropic just killed the REA it stops claude from doing it that’s why local models are important
