I’m a Welshman, but this bloke’s boot hitting leather still defines my generation. Amazing insight.

Who's noticed the sticky air? 🙋♀️🙋♂️
Winds have been coming from the tropics & sub-tropics (northerly).
Expect high humidity to persist - especially for the North Island - for the next few days.
Of note: The spin 🍥 over the Tasman. More heavy rain & t-storms ⚡ for Mon & Tue.

The Flying Scotsman on an autumn day 🍂
Steam, copper leaves and the most famous locomotive in the world 🚂
She was built in Yorkshire, at Doncaster Works and entered service in February 1923 for just £7,944.
On 30 November 1934, she became the first steam locomotive officially recorded at 100mph.
She's since travelled around the world, was saved for the nation in 2004 and now lives at the National Railway Museum in York, 100 years after she was built.
Some sights never get old and a Yorkshire built legend in autumn colour is one of them.
Have you ever seen her in steam? 🏴 – at Yorkshire and The Humber, England

Over the next 7-10 days, high pressure east of New Zealand (🔴) and low pressure (🔵) in the Tasman Sea will act like cogs pulling moisture-rich air south from the tropics.
⛈️ This will result in rounds of moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, especially in the North Island.
