Just saying Phil. We got an 8,000 sq ft house, 6 beds, 8 baths, a pool, inside the belt line, minutes to north hills, down the street from the Glennon family, 10 mins to Cardinal Gibbons and Carter-Finley, all ready for you. zillow.com/homedetails/3717-…

I don’t know what is going to cause more heads to explode tomorrow. Rivers coming out of the tunnel as THE alpha wolf/our new head coach or him walking across the field and hiring Manny Diaz to be our DC.

Here we go!
St. Michael falls to Glenwood School, 42-35, to end the Cardinals' season. Gunner Rivers' high school career is over. Has Philip Rivers' time in Fairhope, Alabama come to a close?

I understand he doesn’t want to distract from his current team but national signing day is Dec 2 (I know we still have the portal). Accepting this job isn’t mutually exclusive to his current commitments.
“It’s maybe a matter of timetable.” 🔗 packinsider.com/2026/11/06/i… Bruce Feldman says the Philip Rivers chatter has “definitely heated up.” So when could NC State fans hear something official? The latest on the search and how Rivers’ high school playoffs could affect the timing.

NC State was willing to hire him, but he insisted on coaching baseball too, so they’re now interviewing Mike Glennon.
Sources: former Super Bowl champion QB Russell Wilson interviewed today for the head coaching job at North Carolina State, where he played three seasons. NC State now has two former NFL greats who starred there, Wilson and Philip Rivers, as prominent head-coaching candidates.

No offense to Rus but his own teammates didn’t like him when he was here. We can’t expect him to lead the program.

Yeah Mike, we’re going to need you to give PR your multi-million dollar IBL home for a few years…
“It’s worth the risk... You only get one shot to hire Phillip Rivers.” Mike Glennon told @dannykanell he is all in on Phillip Rivers as next Head Coach of @PackFootball.

Our fanbase would revolt if they hired Satterfield. He ran away from Louisville.

I want PR just like most fans. I’m sure he would want the job. The question is will he do that to his family? They have six kids still in the house. Tiffany and co waited a long time to move back to Ala. to be close to family. Will they be willing to relocate again?

In theory he could still live in Alabama in the off season, assistants do it all the time, but that would be super tough for a college head coach. You could bring him in as OC but no HC would want to be overshadowed by an assistant.

Not surprised. Glad to see Warren get the call here.
NC State has officially announced the firing of defensive coordinator DJ Eliot after the Stanford loss. The Wolfpack has now fired Dave Doeren, Andy Vaughn and Eliot in the last 24 hours. Charlton Warren will take over play-calling duties. ✍️: 247sports.com/college/north-…

-I hope in time we can celebrate his tenure. I’ll always remember the Louisville game against Lamar. The June several years back when we landed a four star player every other day. The in-state guys who wanted to stay home to play for us.

I’m excited for the next chapter. We’re on the outside looking in on conference expansion and we absolutely can’t mess this hire up. I’ll have more to say about that but I’ll just leave it here for now. Go Pack!

…doesn’t just impact Dave but also his staff and all of their families. Those collateral consequences are the ugly part of these situations. -I’m grateful for Dave’s tenure. We’ve had sustained stability that we’ve never had before. -DD produced some legendary players…

…Program back. -Dave could never put together a consistently good OC and DC run. - I’m sad DD had to go, I wish he could have been more successful. Again, I like the man and what he’s done. But I agree that he had to go.
