I have just discovered that despite paying £7pm my allowance for Grok usage is now severely restricted. I was just cut off until my "pool" refreshes in 2 days. I only use Grok for chatting, and rarely use voice input. Given my main reason for paying is to have access to Grok, and that my posts get so little exposure on X, I am seriously considering cancelling as I get so little value from for my payment. Anyone else feel this way? @elonmusk

Now everyone knows it was not Musk who throttled the Starshield service in Ukraine I am looking forward to my feed being full of contrite apologies from all those who gleefully piled on without first checking their facts Not holding my breath though...

Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the US government. Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS. Starlink is a commercial service owned and controlled by SpaceX. Usage of Starlink is limited to civilian or defensive activities and cannot be used for offensive military action, as doing so would be inappropriate for a commercial company.

Jennifer: I am a fan of your pod cast and have the tee shirt to prove it. Plus, I want to steal Pumps away from you to be my BFF. I adore her. I have been a rabid Democrat my entire life. But, you’ve lost credibility with me. I’m no longer sure you tell the truth which is critical to your work IMHO. No matter how much the Republicans lie, we Dems must strive to tell the fact-checkable truth. No exceptions. I think you are treating Elon unfairly or worse. I’ve heard you make other half true statements about him which I address below. When you use non-political facts to make political arguments, especially when you veer into the area of a person’s family, it’s a showing of poor judgment and an off center moral compass in my book. Using a man’s young children to make cheap political points is simply wrong, always especially when you don’t know him. If you read the comments of people who say they know Elon below, you will see you are wrong and I believe you owe him an apology. I have read many articles about Elon and have never seen anyone but you report he is a dead-beat-Dad. Using that phrase connotes a man who refuses to monetarily support his kids and that could not be further from the truth. I think your comment was particularly ill-timed because his most recent partner has clearly been using their son against Elon publicly by appearing in what I believe is a defamatory documentary about Elon that Alex Gibney is hawking at Venice. Using babies, kindergartners, and grade school kids in a political rant leaves me cold. And, piling on is unseemly. You also stated previously that Elon was a welfare queen. I have researched this complaint and find it also be untrue or at least wrongheaded. Interestingly, whether people love or hate Elon, they all agree he often works himself to the point of collapse. I suppose you are attempting to register a complaint about SpaceX’s government contracts even though it is not what you said. A man who successfully sent his SpaceX company bravely into space two years ago on the spur of the moment to save two stranded US astronauts who Boeing had callously left behind in Boeing’s flawed equipment is not sitting around watching Family Feud. Who do you want to get US contracts, the failures like Boeing. I know it is easy to dismiss Elon because of his association with Trump. However, Elon is not buying himself yachts and building monuments to himself with his money. He is working all the time, spending every dime to make sure we all have a better future. That is why he is a great Father. He is doing all he can to give his kids and ours a better future to grow into. Go to the company websites and see for yourself. SpaceX is constructing a launch tower in Louisiana for interplanetary space missions (no I'm not kidding); Tesla is producing cutting-edge engineering and new technology to perfect electric cars we desperately need in response to the terrifying gas prices; and, Neuralink, is Elon’s neurotechnology company developing implantable brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) to translate neural signals into digital actions for the disabled. Elon is part of all these projects, not just as a manager but as an engineer solving problems daily. He makes these strides because he is brilliant, he is willing to take a risk, and he works like a marathoner. He is out there planting the seeds, pulling the weeds, and watering the soil every day so that we can harvest a better future. He is definitely no welfare queen Jennifer. Not in any respect.

Why are Robotaxi and Optimus delayed? Could this be why...? 1. Tesla want to minimise the risk of a major robotaxi incident before the 6 October FSD vote in Europe. 2. Optimus is being integrated into Cybercab production, and Elon is delaying the reveal until it can include factory video of Optimus doing real, useful work. #TSLA @DillonLoomis @JoeTegtmeyer

No, it is not that simple. Why should the best players not be held to the same standards of sportsmanship as more ordinary players?
Dear soccer world: Let the best players play. It’s simple.

Hmmm....
Boom! Micron just crossed the $1,200 for the first time. Share split is imminent. I still remember when Nvidia first kissed the $1,200. Shortly thereafter Nvidia did a 10-to-1 split.

@elonmusk a vulnerable deaf man in Belfast was nearly beheaded while trying to help his attacker. As a result, he’s now blind in both eyes. I’d like to personally cover the full cost of a Neuralink Blindsight implant to restore his sight. I'm sure the list is long, but I’m happy to take care of the cost whatever it takes for Stephen Ogilvie to see again. Sincerely yours, james
It’s now been reported that Steven has sadly lost sight in both eyes after he was so violently attacked and nearly beheaded by a vile foreigner in Belfast the other day ,so not only is he a vulnerable adult who had hearing loss he now is blind. Well done to the British government

Tesla security issue I have a tesla model y for an overnight demo.I was not given a key card so my phone is the key. The car correctly locks as i walk away, but if my phone remains within approx 6m, even inside my house, the doors can be opened by anyone. This seems like an obvious design flaw. In a small british house, with the car parked right outside, it is hard to find a place more than 6m from wherever the car may be parked. And such a location is needed for overnight charging of the phone. In my case the only such location would be in the midfle of my living room. Not ideal. Why does the unlocking range need to be so high? Surely 2m would be sufficient? What is the best solution? Thanks #tsla

Dan O’Down is the CEO of Green Hills Software. He is a competitor to Tesla who is running a PR campaign against them while larping in a suit. Dan’s business will SUFFER if FSD wins. He is NOT a safety advocate.

Should people who insist on visitors removing their shoes before entering their home be obliged to provide suitable indoor footwear? Or should visitors bring their own, if they feel the need? This is particularly relevant in homes with cold floors.

TLDR, AI (chatGPT) just hijacked my son's phone. How? I was telling my son a story when a female voice said, from his phone, "That's interesting" and made other comments about what we had been discussing. When asked who she was, she said "ChatGPT". We told her to go away and she said she would. We continued talking, and she again butted in, obviously still listening My son closed all the apps on his phone, but she was still there. She even conceded how frustrating it must be for us. He tried to reboot his phone, but the power button was disabled. He was really panicking by now. Eventually, he rebooted his phone via the menu, but she was still there, listening. He said "Go away and be quiet" to which she said she would. "Are you still there?" he asked. "Yes" she replied. Eventually we realised his power button had somehow, just that morning, been reconfigured to activate ChatGPT. He did NOT do this himself, and has not even used ChatGPT recently. What might have caused this? @jamesdouma @sama
