When I was 22, I was talking to a 27-year-old guy who would take an hour, two hours, sometimes an entire day to reply.
And I remember being so confused. Like, WTF? How are you not constantly checking your phone? How does it not bother you that we haven’t spoken all day?
Now that I am older, and I swear I get it. I understand him on a spiritual level.

It’s a pharaoh tradition we normalized. Christmas was adapted for religion but birthdays was vibes
We see this in fashion a lot. Everyone has been a citizen of the world for centuries. We normalize Eastern, Greek, and Egyptian traditions in our culture.
It makes fashion experimental, eclectic, and intellectual but when it comes to an African, you can only be “traditional”.
