A shooting has taken place at the Main Market Square in Kraków, Poland. At least four people were hit by bullets from a moving vehicle, TVP INFO reports. Details as to motive or whereabouts of the shooter are not yet known.

Whether you point that to the military exercises Russia was doing on the border of Ukraine in 2014 or worthy domesticated stability caused by Turchnyov being acting president and with a limited military/defense leadership in Kyiv is up to interpretation

Take the building stormings of the Donetsk and Luhansk regional administrations in March/April 2014, security services in Kharkiv had foiled a similar attempt in just a few hours with the police/National Guard at the time. However, in the east, they were more cautious

To this point you could make the argument that after the annexation of Crimea “finished” up in mid-late March 2014, there was not really much of a push from Ukrainian government to attempt to take Crimea back and even in the early days of the ATO, Ukrainian forces had restraint
