Lake Allatoona, GA. Today's fishing report in 4 images.
@lordganesh
You know what to do: choose divide.
Without further ado, and with nothing but class, Rascal has decided to stay in line with this rare Terrific Tactical Tuesday Twofer by offering up a Glock 19 Gen5 Acro 9mm AND a Daniel Defense DDM4V7 5.56 rifle!
I asked the cool coon whether it should go to one lovely soul or if we should divide them up.
"Let the people decide" is an exact quote so that we will do.
See poll and make your opinion heard, below.
Good Luck
Godspeed
Keep Going, MFs
He's right. You can't make this up.
In my opinion, if there's one (there shouldn't be), it should coincide with Pride (what ever that is morphed into).
The parades would make hilarious video clips!
For my WI folks.
Most Wisconsin voters will flip their ballot over on Nov 3rd and find three questions nobody told them about. They are permanent changes to the state constitution. My vote on them is YES, YES and YES.
1) Should the governor be barred from using a partial veto to create or raise taxes or fees - or authorize those increases?
A yes vote adds that restriction, including vetoes that allow local governments to increase taxes or fees.
2) Should state and local governments be prohibited from closing places of worship or banning gatherings there in response to a declared emergency, including a public-health emergency?
A yes vote adds that prohibition to the constitution.
3) Should the constitution prohibit government bodies from discrimination or preferential treatment based on race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in government employment, education, contracting, and administration?
A yes vote adds the prohibition, with exceptions involving federal requirements and certain necessary sex-based qualifications. It gets rid of the DEI hiring scheme.
Look for Question 1, 2 and 3 on the back of your ballot.
Screenshot this, bring it with you, and send it to one person who hasn’t voted yet.
Current status. Life lesson: don't trap a pregnant feral cat & try to put her in a cage in the house!
Today's fishing report. Lake Allatoona, GA. Water temp ~68°. 1 Spot & 2 Crappie. Sunny & breezy. We caught the 3 on brush, nothing long line trolling yet. @lordganesh

I've known @jamestalarico for nearly 20 years. When we were at @UTAustin in 2009, he ran the University Democrats and I ran the College Republicans. Although we disagreed, I once considered him a friend. But then he betrayed the entire student body for his own political gain.🧵
Why in hell is this add in my feed!?! Never saw anything like this before @smcroasters bought another location in the North. I don't believe in coincidences.

This absolutely does suck. @GovRonDeSantis has the opportunity to do an amazing thing and make Seminole Wind the new state song for Florida.

A groundbreaking study has demonstrated that bamboo can be successfully processed into a liquid biocrude capable of being refined into usable transportation fuel. Conducted by researchers at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts alongside global collaborators, the study indicates that this plant-based alternative could prove highly competitive within the expanding renewable energy sector.
According to the team's techno-economic modeling, bamboo-derived fuel could cost as little as $2.75 per gasoline-gallon equivalent (GGE) once production reaches a mature commercial scale. This projection accounts for the estimated capital and operational expenditures required to construct and run a specialized refinery. However, researchers emphasize that this figure represents an idealized economic forecast rather than a guaranteed retail price at the commercial pump.
The transformation process relies entirely on hydrothermal liquefaction, an eco-friendly method that uses only heat, water, and pressure without requiring chemical catalysts. In laboratory experiments, the researchers heated bamboo to 572°F (300°C) for a duration of 10 minutes. This thermal treatment successfully converted approximately 35.6% of the bamboo's dry mass into an oil-like biocrude, which can then undergo traditional refining to produce low-carbon diesel or gasoline.
Bamboo offers unique agricultural and environmental advantages over traditional biofuel feedstocks like corn or sugarcane. As a fast-growing perennial grass, it yields massive quantities of biomass annually without needing to be replanted after harvest, drastically minimizing agricultural inputs. Furthermore, the tested bamboo species contained less than 1% ash by dry weight, which significantly reduces solid waste accumulation and operational fouling during refining.
The study's life-cycle assessment further highlights bamboo's efficiency, estimating that it could match the total energy output of current U.S. corn ethanol production while utilizing a mere 13% of the cultivated land. Additionally, the modeling projects that bamboo fuel produces greenhouse gas emissions roughly 26 times lower than conventional petroleum diesel. This dramatic reduction is largely attributed to the plant's extensive underground rhizome networks, which naturally capture and store substantial amounts of carbon in the soil.
Despite these promising laboratory findings, researchers caution that these benefits must still be validated outside of theoretical models. Transitioning to a viable commercial market will require establishing a highly dependable regional supply chain for raw bamboo, building large-scale processing infrastructure, and ensuring the final refined product consistently meets strict commercial fuel standards. The initial lab work confirms that bamboo can be converted into biocrude; the next crucial step is proving that it can scale into an affordable, low-emission fuel on a global level.

Lots of nice stuff for you and Family, Friends.
I whole heartedly agree with this logic & a great debate to be had.
This is the public discussion @FoxNews @CNN @CBS et al should be having.
Leave 'but Trump' out of it.
I am getting lots of incoming questions about the public execution of Nidal Hasan, mostly because I have been outspoken on wanting public executions for over a decade.
My position is simple: Executions should be public and brutal, not private and medicalized. They are the ultimate example of the state's monopoly on violence, and the only way to keep that from running out of control is to confront voters with the trade they have made every single time, that they might have appropiate confidence or revulsion in the institution.
This is not new thinking. George Washington thought the same. The way we have shifted from hanging to firing squads to doctors quietly injecting chemicals that send our worst gently off to sleep is awful and dystopian, a total short-circuiting of important feedback mechanisms. It makes needless executions more likely, not less so. People who demean this as barbaric or yucky miss the whole point. It doesn't somehow become torture or inhumane (as the UN is suddenly claiming) just because we decline to hide the act behind a curtain.
And then there are those who suggest any revel in the death of those who truly deserve it is an indicator of a broken or diseased mind. To the contrary. It is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order. That it has not been done here in 60 years is an indictment in and of itself.
And that is without even getting into the fact that men were not hung for stealing horse, but that horses may not be stolen.
"I would to God that one of the most attrocious in each State was hung in Gibbets, up on a gallows five times as high as the one prepared by Haman. No punishment, in my opinion, is too great for the Man, who can build his greatness upon his Country’s ruin."
- George Washington, 1778
This is my week, I can feel it!
Just when Rascal thought he had made it back from the jungle he gets assigned this raid. I suppose they call it the "concrete jungle" in D.C. but this bungalow was way too on theme. Between the "brotherly love" and the bananas and rice the poor animal is fed up with this crime scene.
Word is they are gonna have to go back in so Rascal wants you to take this rifle. The Springfield Armory Saint Victor should hold up well in this mushy ricey environment and you will have some of Ziggy's gun grease to help keep it running. On top of that Weaporize is letting you choose what works best for your loadout, B_1Tactical is going to make sure you have a camo patterned holster perfect for the occasion and Textacdesigns won't leave you without a blade and some sweet swag!
This is one big kit this week so get in there and help Rascal deal with this raid! As always thanks to @SummRidge for helping fund this week's shenanigans!
Good Luck to all and hopefully we smell a little less like Somalia in this country every day.
Imagine that, she locked the replies.

Stupid part of state law. We're working on getting it changed. Last session SB499 passed out of the Senate but stalled out in the house. We're asking every Georgian to call their reps next session and demand that the house approve the bill so it can be sent to the governor
