LeBron James stood on the court at Madison Square Garden for his first game with the Philadelphia 76ers this week and took practice golf swings while our National Anthem played. President Trump called him out on Truth Social, saying LeBron "disrespects our Country" and "should apologize to all of those Great American Warriors and Heroes who died for the American Flag." This isn't the first time, either. He did the same golf swing routine during the anthem last Christmas Day when he was still with the Lakers, and back in 2019 he was doing it while defending China. I watched the video myself, and I didn't see one hand over a heart from anyone standing near him. Men and women have given their lives for that flag so these players can make millions playing a game. Two minutes of respect is not too much to ask. Honestly, I've given up on pro basketball.
