Are you looking for a role at an early-stage startup??? Our portfolio companies have 336 open roles right now. A few that caught my eye: - Head of Capital Markets at @general_compute - EVP, Communications at @_panthalassa - Technical Recruiter at @reflectorbital - Electrical Engineer at @ExowattEnergy - Brand Design Lead at @_panthalassa - Senior Associate, Strategy at @_panthalassa - AI Platform Architect at @AaloAtomics - Ground Software Engineer at @ExowattEnergy I get asked all the time: "Who in your portfolio is hiring?" And until now, I never had a great answer. Usually I’d send someone a list of companies or links to 10 different career pages. So I used @Lovable to build something I’ve wanted for months: one centralized careers page for the Two Roads Capital portfolio. It automatically pulls open roles across our companies into one place, filterable by company, function, location, and work type (and syncs automatically every 15 minutes as new roles go live). If you're looking for your next role, link is in the comments.  Tag someone looking for their next startup role 👇

1 token ≈ ¾ of a word. The word "economics" is two tokens ("econom" + "ics")

solana tokenized equities went from $25m to $1.2b in 12 months. 47x. faster than defi summer 2020. 96% market share in tokenized stocks across xstocks, sunrise, and backpack. ethereum has 6x more total RWA TVL but only $380m in tokenized equities. solana owns 76% of that vertical. spacex named solana in their S-1 filing for employee equity distribution. first s&p 500 caliber company to reference a specific smart contract platform in regulatory docs. the $100t global equity market is picking its settlement layer and the early data is not ambiguous

The future isn't AI. The future is what AI does to human behavior. I've been thinking about three modes: The Immersive - Living inside systems designed by others. The Intentional- Choosing boundaries and protecting what matters. The Strategic- Using technology as leverage. Most people on X would think this is a hierarchy. BUT I'm not sure... Some of the happiest people I know are far more intentional than strategic. But one thing feels true: If you don't consciously choose your mode, someone else will.

The web was built for human eyes. But the front door is changing. LLMs and agents are becoming how we find information , not search, not 10 blue links. So what should we actually be publishing? Not SEO articles. Structured, machine-readable sources of truth that agents can query and trust. (trust is key!) I've been calling it the Knowledge Oracle model. (workshopping the name) Most publishers are still playing the 2019 game.

Its 2027 and Humans are the API layer for the real world. AI does 90% of the work....then calls on us for the last 10%. We still have Trust. Authority. Relationships. Taste. Accountability. The meatsuit API layer
33
If AI becomes the superintelligence, humans might become the API layer for the real world. Need something moved? Human. Need a deal signed? Human. Need taste, trust, context, or accountability? Human. Not control exactly. More like routing. Scary?

Anthropic just dropped a 31-page prompting guide. Here's everything you actually need (in 10 rules): 1. You write "review this contract" and pray. Fix: Name every output. "Review this contract. Flag risks per clause. Rate severity 1-5. Return as a table." 2: You say "summarize this" on a 40-page report. Fix: 4.8 sizes the answer to the input. Cap it: "5 bullets. Each under 15 words. Start each with an action verb." 3: You write "don't use jargon. don't be salesy." Fix: Negative instructions don't stick. Flip them: "Write in plain English a 16-year-old could read aloud." 4: You type "can you help me with the email?" Fix: Each verb ships something. For example: "Go to Gmail. Find [contact]. Write the send-ready reply. Under 90 words. Tone: confident, casual." 5: You wait for Claude to web search on its own. Fix: Claude opus 4.8 calls fewer tools than 4.6. Force it: "Use web search aggressively. Verify every claim with at least 2 sources." 6: You miss the warm tone from old Claude. Fix: Claude opus 4.8 is direct. Almost zero emojis. Paste 2-3 sentences in the voice you want. Tell Claude to match the rhythm. 7: You ask for "a landing page" & get bare minimum. Fix: Drop this one line on every creative task → "Go beyond the basics." It's from Anthropic's own doc. 8: You forget Claude 4.8 doesn't reason by default. Fix: They call it "Thinking." Effort: High Add this at the end: "Think before answering (maximum reasoning)." Free upgrade. Every time. 9: You rewrite the same prompt 14 times a week. Fix: A skill is a command with instructions pre-built. Write the same prompt twice? Make it a skill. 10: You assume Claude knows what you meant. Fix: Old Claude 4.6 guessed. New Claude 4.8 does exactly what you typed. Spell it out. Output. Order. Length. Tone. Format. If you don't say it, you don't get it. To go even further & download my .md files directly: Step 1. Go to how-to-ai.guide. Step 2. Subscribe for free. Don't pay anything. Step 3. Open my welcome email (most skip this). Step 4. Hit the automatic reply button inside. Step 5. Download my .md files from my Notion. Bonus. Enjoy my best copy-paste prompts, too.

We've spent the last few years figuring out how to harness AI. Better prompts. more context. better workflows. But feels like the next phase is AI learning how to harness us...

After 15 years of investing, we realised that truly exceptional founders have something impossible to fake: deeply unconventional lives. We analysed 15,000 founders using five binary signals to measure this: odd hobbies, early signs of exceptionalism, extreme life choices, unusual geographies, non-linear careers. These sum to give a 0-5 score per founder. Whether someone started coding at 10, speaks five languages, climbed Everest or quit a safe job to live in Chile, the signal was deviation from the mean. Rather than focusing on IQ or EQ, we call this metric the Outlier Quotient, or “OQ”. When forecasting founder success, it turns out that OQ was the single most predictive variable in our entire classification model, trained on ~70 different factors. Our OQ score had zero correlation with having worked at a top-tier company or attending an elite university. The signals most VCs rely on aren’t just noisy, they’re blinding. The best founders don’t signal like everyone else, they don’t think like everyone else, and they certainly don’t build like everyone else. If you want to spot breakout talent before the rest of the market, stop screening for conformity. Back the founders the system was built to filter out.

Slowing down is a competitive advantage. Most people won’t do it.

The Phuket Community newsletter started as a side project. Now it’s becoming a solid pulse on what’s happening locally. Really proud of it.

If you’re not tracking costs weekly (or daily), you’re guessing. Real-time cost tracking should be standard.

Thinking about buying the brand back. No real strategy behind it. Just one of those gut feelings that won’t go away.

Watching an old business shut down is a strange feeling. You’ve moved on… but a part of you is still tied to it. Hard to explain.

Flights booked for the end of the year. In the middle of the grind, it’s nice to have something on the horizon. Really enjoying exploring China.
