A camera test evolved into a mini PSA for all creatives out there. Here’s a little inspiration to encourage you to share your ideas with the world. As we approach 2025, don’t let another year pass without writing that script, creating that artwork, directing that film, or exploring something new—whatever it may be. It all begins with YOU. (This is me reminding myself.) Embrace the journey and don’t hold back. Me love you 🥹🙌🏾🤞🏾 Camera: ALEXA LF Lens: Tokina Vista Primes (25mm & 50mm) I do not own the rights to this music. As independent filmmakers, sometimes the vision stays the same while the path to getting there changes. Girl Beneath the Floorboard is moving forward, and we've created a new home where you can follow the journey, learn more about the story, meet the cast, watch our updates, and find out how you can support the film. This project is about memory, community, and the stories that refuse to stay buried. And we're building it one step at a time. Visit our site gofund.me/64e411d08

It's our last day to pledge through @seedandspark! Let's make this come to life. As much as we complain about not enough black stories being told, this is the time! Girl Beneath the Floorboard will still get made. We have a dope cast, a dope crew and a community that has our back! I've decided to step back into directing and the words that @just_cimone has chosen have moved me to step back into it whole heartedly. We are also joining forces with @5pointsfilmcamp in bringing a few mentees to see the entire process unfold. Your contribution is tax-deductible. We are liveeeeee! Thank you all for contributing soooo far!!! We are in Day 4 of 30!! Help us tell this beautiful story for our missing black girls in America. Tens of thousands of Black girls go missing every year yet they slip through the cracks of a world that was never built to look for them. No headlines. No search parties. No one coming. GIRL BENEATH THE FLOORBOARD is for every one of them. We are shooting in Atlanta ❤️ seedandspark.com/fund/girlbe…

Imagine spending 30 years wondering where your child is. Now imagine the rest of the world stopped wondering. Girl Beneath the Floorboard is a fictional supernatural drama inspired by a reality too many families know all too well. Through this film, we hope to shine a light on the stories of missing Black girls that too often receive less attention than they deserve. Today, our Seed&Spark campaign begins. If this story moves you, we invite you to become part of bringing it to life. Every donation and every share helps ensure this story reaches the screen. 🎬 Support the campaign. seedandspark.com/fund/girlbe… #atlantafilmmaker #blackwomeninfilm #girlbeneaththefloorboard #atlantadirector #helpusbringlaveniahome

Being back in the directors seat feels good but it’s a huge responsibility to carry an important story!! Here’s one of the reasons I decided to bring this buried truth to the forefront. Tens and thousands of missing black girls are reported missing and they do not get the national attention like our white counterparts. I hope that when we launch you can support this important matter. Using my gift as a storyteller to bring change. Here’s how to support us! Please be sure to follow our campaign before we launch it so it can be seen! seedandspark.com/fund/girlbe…

Hit the follow would mean a lot if you’d follow: seedandspark.com/fund/girlbe…

we launch our crowdfunding campaign the first week of August and i’m trying to get 100 followers on the page before we go live. following is free and takes 2 seconds it just tells the platform people care, which helps us get seen.

Missing Black girls rarely make the front page. So I’m directing a film for them. A supernatural drama honoring the girls the world forgot. Casting now in Atlanta. 🌱
