Tomorrow the Division 1 Contact Period opens.
For the next 5 weeks, college coaches can visit your high school, watch you practice/workout, and talk to anyone at your school about you.
This is the most active evaluation window of the spring.
If you have been putting in the work, this is where it shows.

If your GPA is between a 2.2 & 2.8 it's gonna be hard to find a home. No matter how good the film is. Your core GPA is super important. Grades matter

GPA is recruiting leverage:
3.5+ = options.
3.0 = some doors open.
2.0 = praying somebody takes a chance.
Same talent, different transcripts = completely different recruitments.
Books matter. #recruiting101

🗣️ Question: Why do some d1 coaches follow recruits and like their posts but not respond to DMs? Should I still keep messaging with updated film and stats?
🗣️ Answer: Coaches follow or like posts to track recruits — it means you’re on their radar, not necessarily that they’re ready to talk. They get flooded with DMs and sometimes can’t respond due to NCAA rules or timing. I say yes, keep sending short updates with new film, stats, and GPA every few weeks. Be politely aggressive — consistency gets noticed.
I get 500+ a day!

If you're considering the JUCO route, understand:
• You'll have to prove yourself all over again
• Two years goes faster than you think
• Not every JUCO is the right fit
But... You always Bet on yourself!!
It's a real path to D1-D2!
I've seen it work dozens of times. #GrindSeason #GrindMode #Beleive

After much thought and consideration with my family, I have decided to decommit from the University of Delaware and reopen my recruitment. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity given to me and would like to think Coach Carty and Coach Goldrich along with the rest of the staff for everything. With my trust in God I’m looking forward to what is next!

Why would you spend the money to go watch a football game of a program that isn’t interested in recruiting you?

Told you back then that he was a DUDE!😂😂😂
So happy for Jihaad! He was a WR as a freshman at Timber Creek HS in Sicklerville, NJ under @CmdPanther1 when I met him.
He finished his high school career as a 5-star LB at IMG Academy

I know a program that uses 7on7 to teach and develop… beginning in 2025, all 18u teams will be team based. You have to be a part of a hs team to participate. Using your high schools playbook, and playing with your teammates in the offseason

Spoke to a friend of mine who is an FBS Football Coach.
RECRUITING TIP FROM THAT CONVO:
Coaches are evaluating the player, parents, his demeanor in meetings, his level of attention to detail, how does he interact with other players, is he a good teammate.
All of these things are as important if not more than the talent.
College football is hard and is changing as we speak so selecting the RIGHT FIT is so much more important than it ever was before. The young man has to be tough, disciplined and have a level of competitiveness throughout the evaluation process in order for us to deem he is a take.
One of the biggest turnoffs in recruiting is asking a coach “are you only taking 1 in my position?” No, they are going to do whatever they need to do to help win with the right kids. That could be 1 or 3 relatively speaking within reason of position but everything is constantly being evaluated.

Great facilities for the school, community, coaches and players to be proud of! It’s a new age of HS athletics where investment in facilities matters if you want to keep up!
Our #fieldoftheweek this Friday is Heard County High School's covered facility. Recently completed, the new covered practice field for the Braves features the same system installed on the stadium field: AstroTurf’s RootZone 3D Blend turf system with Brock shock pad.
