Filming yesterday, I caught myself obsessing over every “um,” my teeth, my bare face, and the pimple on my chin.
Meanwhile, I’ve never watched another creator’s video and thought about any of those things.
Why are we our own worst comment section? 😭

Is there a new internet bit I’m unaware of where brands ask for “authentic, organic content” and then hand you a script that sounds like a pharmaceutical commercial, or are we working with different definitions of authentic? Sorry, my birth year starts with 19.

Be sure you take care of you this weekend.
You earned it.
Sincerely,

Maybe it’s just me, but creators who can take feedback without taking it personally will always have an advantage over creators who can't.

If creative strategy overwhelms you, that's ok. It overwhelms me sometimes too...😅
If you're just learning, best thing to do is keep it simple:
1. Research to see what people are struggling with
2. Ideate things that they may like to watch
3. Brief so your team understands what your vision + goal is
4. Script so your creators have fun on camera
5. Produce so you can get concepts out quickly
6. Read the data so you understand how people responded to it
7. Iterate as you go.
