Earned the right to an opinion & probably a medal. I'm dyslexic, so if my spelling bothers you then get over it, even I'm sick of it!

JUST IN: Fridges and freezers at some supermarkets in Belgium, Luxembourg and Sweden were hacked overnight. Hackers changed the temperature settings to as high as 70°C (158°F), causing food to spoil. The damage is expected to run into the millions.

Good grief, that's so violent. Apparently, 9 people on board but that's not confirmed. Lear Jet crash. Tragic for all on board.

Halloween isn't American. 🎃 Not the name. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Not the costumes. 🎭 Not the lantern. 🕯️ Not even "trick or treat". 🚪 The word was so Scottish that Robert Burns had to add a footnote for the English explaining what it was. 📜 The first lanterns weren't pumpkins. 👀 The first time "trick or treat" appeared in print, it wasn't in America. 📰 Every year someone calls Halloween an American import. 🙄 They never tell you the knock on your door is OLDER than America itself. 🇺🇸 So this Halloween, skip the trick. 👻 Be the treat. 🍬 Watch the full story. 👇 Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

I'm so impressed with Google AI. It's helped me plan my trip away & yesterday sent me an alert about disrupted travel. Without prompting, gave new advice on how best to navigate it. Yes I would have found out eventually but not with the alternative times & advice.

Slavery was an evil in which people from every continent and region participated. We should be honest about the whole history, not select the parts that are politically convenient today, especially given Britain's leading role in ending the transatlantic slave trade. If Caribbean countries are asking Britain for a formal apology for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, will they also be asking the same of the descendants of African kingdoms, rulers and merchants who captured, sold and profited from the trade? On demands for reparations, whether through cash or debt relief, we have been down this track before. Twenty-five years ago, Jubilee 2000, Drop the Debt and Make Poverty History argued that cancelling the debts of poorer countries would give them a fresh start. More than $100 billion of debt was eventually written off, but many of those countries have since built up even bigger debts. Labour are already spending too much on Britain's welfare state, now is not the time for Andy Burnham to be providing global welfare. There is no reason British taxpayers today should be held financially responsible for things that happened generations before any of us were born. And I have even less patience for political elites in commonwealth countries who don’t know how to make their own citizens prosperous now looking for another opportunity to blame Britain. As Prime Minister, Andy Burnham should be Britain’s greatest defender. Instead, he is writing articles saying we need to confront our history (as if we haven't done enough of that) and considering another formal historical apology. Tony Blair already expressed Britain’s deep sorrow and regret for our role in the slave trade nearly twenty years ago. There is no need to do so again. This is all another navel-gazing distraction. The Commonwealth should be looking forward, not endlessly backwards. That means economic partnerships to make us all richer and deeper military and security cooperation against common threats. If every Commonwealth summit becomes an exercise in presenting Britain with demands for cash then we need to start asking if it is worth the effort.

Word travels fast in the forest. Baby Mwezi’s first day out with the Umani herd was a great success! Murera gave birth in the middle of the night, tucked up in her stockade, but word still got out quickly in Kibwezi Forest. So quickly that, come dawn, all the wild-living orphans were waiting to meet her. In case you missed yesterday’s news: bathed in the light of a near-full moon, Murera gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She chose to deliver in her stockade, the place that has been her night-time sanctuary all these years. The whole thing was seamless, and mother and baby are both marvellous. More to come, but we wanted to share Mwezi’s first moments with you. (Her name means ‘moon’ in Swahili!) In the meantime, reacquaint yourself with Murera’s miraculous story: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/o…

I love it when a car literally runs me off the road while giving the middle finger, shouting fuck you and it turns out they've no road tax. She might be eating her words after i've filled in Op snap.

Get a big plastic tub, everyone, because your actual cupboards at home are useless when the power goes out. You won't be capable of opening a kitchen door!

EXCLUSIVE: MIGRANT BOAT LAUNCHES FROM BELGIUM AS AUTHORITIES STAND AND WATCH 29th October 2026 | Belgian-French border | Approx. 3:00 AM local time What I believe could be the first ever footage of an illegal migrant boat launching from a Belgian beach, just across the border from France. But the real story isn’t the boat. It’s the Belgian authorities standing there watching it happen. No visible intervention. No attempt to stop the launch. Different country. Same scenes I’ve witnessed repeatedly in France. Two countries, one border, and the same question: what exactly are the authorities doing to stop these boats?

CRAZY SCENES IN GRAVELINES, NORTHERN FRANCE! A large group of illegal migrants openly making their way through this small, beautiful French town towards the beach. I suspect they are preparing for an attempted crossing to Britain tomorrow. No authorities in sight. No oversight. No attempt to hide. Just another extraordinary scene unfolding in broad daylight. If you can get your money due out to the machines not working. [power cuts] how are the tills going to work?
Brits scramble to withdraw cash from ATMs after Labour issues ominous "Be Ready emergency guidance" Britons withdrew record amounts of cash from ATMs over the weekend with Friday’s average topping £100 after Labour launched its Be Ready campaign. The guidance followed Defence Secretary Wes Streeting’s warnings about potential cyber attacks and the need for households to prepare for disruptions. It really does feel like Labour is doing everything they can to distract people from the mess they are making in the UK and sadly so many people are falling for it. Are you falling for it?

Shops literally profiteering are as bad as the gangs dragging these boats of migrants across the channel.
The closest supermarket to the notorious “Dunkirk Jungle” illegal migrant camp. Have you ever seen so many waterproof phone cases for sale in one supermarket? It’s hardly a surf shop, and Dunkirk isn’t exactly a tropical beach resort. So here’s the question. Are the owners genuinely oblivious to who’s buying these cases and what they’re likely being used for? Or do they know exactly who their customers are and simply smell profit? Coincidence, ignorance or calculated business? I’ll let you decide.

I don't blame France for not wanting them, but this is an outrage. We have signed over millions to the French to prevent them from leaving the French coast.
DUNKIRK: ILLEGALS BUYING LIFE JACKETS IN BULK, AND NOBODY BATS AN EYELID 37 minutes outside Decathlon in Dunkirk, watching and documenting what is happening in plain sight. The sheer openness of the situation is outrageous. Illegal migrants openly buying life jackets in bulk, and despite everything I’ve witnessed on the French coast, it still shocks me. No questions. No police. No apparent oversight. These are people I believe will be attempting to cross the English Channel illegally by boat in the coming days. There is nothing hidden about any of this. It’s happening openly, in broad daylight, for anyone to witness. And seemingly nobody is asking a single question.
