With another overall update for @MetaMask iOS wallet. We now cannot set our preferred network (@CronosApp in this case) as the default on wallet address home page. We are forced to have their "popular networks" displayed. Even if no balance.
In order to see $cro balance (or other custom networks), we need to navigate through 2 screens. Get a glimpse and then navigate back to home. And no way of having it permanently displayed on main page or as an extra "popular" chain token.
It's these kind of frictions and bottlenecks that Cronos has fallen victim to over the years that prevents new users to explore or even know about the existence of the chain.
Of course I will get the standard replies saying Metamask sucks and use Raby etc... But I also blame @CronosApp who over the years have been creating their own bottleneck and friction by also enforcing the products they ship. And their products, I'm afraid, just plainly...suck! Defi wallet, then onchain wallet, or even explorer are not standardized and not up to par with the evm standard.
Looking at the roadmap, I'm guessing nothing will change. We are all gonna be bottlenecked again to use the new @CronosApp and have very little compatibility with existing 3rd party apps.
I wish Cronos chain stopped being the odd chain out there and just simply comply with what is normal. Be compatible with all 3rd party apps. Have Cronos chain be available as default on main wallets. Re-integrate Cronoscan from @etherscan. And just play along with the other evm chains. Being different has not brought any advantages to the chain.
Btw, Robinhood is less than 1 month old and already available as default on Metamask. It's this kind of frustration we been dealing for years.
