Said he’s still reviewing the bill, and has questions on whether the $50B rural hospital fund will be enough for his district — or will hospitals be forced to cut services/ close down

Greg Murphy, who previously said he would not vote for the Senate version bc of provider tax language and has issues with endowment tax, now says he doesn’t know how he’s going to vote on the bill. “I’m going to make that a game-time decision, which I don’t like to do.” Says he’s going to try to get in touch with the president “right now.”

Ron Johnson tells reporters that fiscal hawks were able to cinch an agreement for an amendment vote on Rick Scott's FMAP proposal. Says this is an "amendment we're confident of," and that the group has already "whipped something very similar and it's very close."

E&C Chair Brett Guthrie says he's keeping an eye on where senators land on agreement for provider taxes, and will then discuss with members on plan forward. "The E&C committee exceeded its savings number of $880b and would like to see some of the additional savings spent on committee members priorities, first and foremost is addressing the Doctors’ fix."

For those that are paying attention to the renewal of the ACA premium tax credit, bookmark this for later this year. Murkowski, Tillis, and Sullivan are a few Senate Rs that have expressed interest in extending the popular tax credit, while Senate leadership has been hesitant to oppose its renewal. But unlikely for a possible renewal to be addressed in reconciliation -- could be in other legislative vehicles, such as a CR. Dems could have leverage to advocate for it's renewal if it's vehicle is up against a legislative filibuster. There's also a question of how long to renew the credits for -- a one-year renewal would run up into a reelection backdrop. More here: nationaljournal.com/s/728760…
