I’m never gonna be that pompous, condescending, know-it-all who’s gonna lecture you on who to vote for today. I don’t even like voting for people. I vote for policy. I vote for principles.
Politicians are rental cars: use em to get where you wanna go, then broom em and never think about em again. Don’t get attached to the person. They are flawed, fallen human beings like anyone else, and they will most certainly let you down, eventually.
I’m not a fan of Machiavellian strategizing with elections…I think that kind of scheming is hubristic, and it can often backfire. I prefer to just vote my conscience, and trust that God will guide the right outcome. That doesn’t mean immediate “victory” in any given race…God’s timeline is much deeper and it exceeds our limited vision. Sometimes things need to get worse before they can get better. Sometimes things are better than you even realize.
I respect my supporters far too much to instruct any of you how I think you should vote…I won’t even demand that you DO vote. All I will ask is that you reflect on the fact that you can vote. We forget, so easily, just how blessed we are to be Americans. It’s not luck. We don’t have magical soil. We have a legacy of brave and brilliant and principled men who fought and died to forge our destiny here, setting us apart from every other human civilization.
Every day I think about how I can honor their sacrifices that I’m not worthy of. I felt a call to run for office. I feel an undying duty to advocate for my community…I don’t know if I’m earning my American birthright, but it is always on my mind. I feel the weight of America’s grace just as heavily as I feel the glory of God’s grace. Heidi and I are so, so blessed.
If I can be forgiven just one moralizing lecture point today: have gratitude.
Gratitude is the ultimate virtue that precedes all other virtues, and it is the skeleton key that unlocks joy in even the darkest times in your life. Many people will be devastated and disappointed by the outcomes today…the rest will cheer today, but will be disappointed 6 months from now when your victory celebrations wane and your lauded candidate inevitably lets you down.
Gratitude. Thank God you can vote today without getting beheaded. You can vote however you want today…and while some of my fellow former Mayoral candidates may not realize this…you don’t even have to tell anyone who you voted for. You can just…do you.
I will continue to remind you all…Jesus has the wheel. You will adapt and overcome whatever happens today. Or in the case of Gavin Newsom’s CA, 48 days after the polls close.

🚨 BREAKING: The New York Times confirms the DOJ sent letters to roughly 20 Democrats, including Marc Elias and a DSCC official, warning they could be criminal targets in the “Decoy Dan” investigation.
Possible donor fraud and conspiracy charges are reportedly being investigated.
Democrats spent years accusing Republicans of threatening democracy. Now they’re under federal investigation over an alleged effort to deceive voters and influence a Senate race.
So much for “protecting democracy.” Stay tuned. 🍿

Justine Bateman explains why Hollywood stopped making great films, and it’s not budgets or streaming.
The film business used to run on conviction. Studios made what they believed in, read the culture themselves, and gave people what was missing.
Then social media arrived and about 1,000 of the loudest accounts started steering the whole industry. Lazy journalists quoted random tweets as “public outrage,” and executives scared of boycotts handed their decisions to that crowd.
Her line that you can’t run a creative business while catering to people like this applies well beyond film. Brands, media, schools and even medicine have made the same trade, and the results look the same everywhere.
A small, loud minority online is not the public. Most people never post at all, and an industry that forgets that ends up making things for nobody.

It's this simple: if Christians get to the polls today, we win.
Southern Baptist president Willy Rice says that it doesn’t matter what the polls say, if every Bible-believing evangelical Christian took the time to vote, we would see some “stunning” positive outcomes today!
Pastors, it’s not too late to send a message to your congregation and tell them that these issues matter and Christians need to vote.

THE FBI FOUND THE LAPTOP UNDER HER BED. STILL DRIPPING.
Thursday, a Detroit townhouse. Agents pulled a MacBook out from under bags of clothes stuffed beneath the bed. Prosecutors say it had just been dunked in water: "Droplets remained on the screen and touchpad."
The townhouse is Zainab Hakim's. She is 23, and prosecutors call her the ringleader of a federal conspiracy to terrorize University of Michigan regents, campus police and the Jewish Federation of Detroit until the school cut its ties to Israel. Glass jars of noxious chemicals thrown into family homes. Fake bloody corpses on a regent's lawn. Red inverted triangles painted on their houses, the symbol the government says Hamas uses to mark a target.
A judge let her out on bond in June over the government's objection.
Monday prosecutors asked Judge Judith Levy, who has the case, to lock her back up: "Perhaps this court believed her when she said she would comply with all her conditions. But she lied."
Twelve people are charged now. One of them, Mariam Odeh, drew two paychecks from Abdul El-Sayed's Senate campaign in March. His campaign says she was gone by mid April. El-Sayed is the Democrat on Michigan's ballot today.
Asked about this case in June, El-Sayed said: "It's a lot more about what you're advocating for that gets you indicted or not indicted, rather than what you did."
Nobody hides their advocacy under a bed. 💎

Josh here is correct. We need godly people to show up and vote today!
The ungodly people are very vocal and literally state what their intentions are. Frightening they are.

It has been a nasty and disappointing midterm election campaign, and few will be unhappy to see the end of it.
The irrational and almost sociopathic hatred of President Trump, even in ostensibly Republican circles, reveals less about Trump than about the intellectually corrupt and mediocre Republican Party whose headship he seized ten years ago. The Democrats have been reduced to an incoherent pantomime horse of anti-American extremists and exhausted hacks.
More disappointing is that surviving Reaganites are so hostile to Trump that they serenely overlook the blight of wokeness, the bottomless corruption in places like Minnesota, and the ambition to turn the United States into a one-party state. They want his last election to be a “rout,” in Peggy Noonan’s words, so they can return to business as usual. It won't be.
Trump has produced strong and rising economic growth, cut taxes, drastically deregulated, closed the border, deported over two million illegal entrants, mortally assaulted DEI, and prevented Iran from becoming a nuclear power. He has done the last at a cost of fewer combat deaths than occur every couple of weeks in many Democratically governed American cities.
His methods are irksome at times, and his public personality is an acquired taste. But he has pierced the pomposity and complacency of the bipartisan system he displaced. He has been a very effective president.

Mark Ruffalo, I’m in SAG-AFTRA just like you. Our union dues are capped at the first $1 million in covered earnings. That means high earners like yourself don’t pay work dues on earnings above that amount.
Why not voluntarily contribute more to help fellow actors who are struggling to afford healthcare and make ends meet?
You’re criticizing Elon Musk over wealth, taxes and accountability. Maybe start by looking at the system you benefit from. Sound familiar?
Elon, you goofy. 🤪Crashing out, because you don’t want to pay taxes. Don’t want some oversight into all the government money and contracts you made off with. Don’t want anyone looking into exactly what the F you did with DOGE. And whining about loosing an election. 🤪That’s part of democracy, bro. Welcome to America. This isn’t some South Africa back in the day 💩. You will get use to it. Sometimes you lose. Believe me. That’s what politics is. Oh. And. Watch the Elon Musk doc. It’s wild.

But we've seen over the past two years the damage that 650+ District Judges can do when an Administration takes big swings at changing the policy and structure of the Executive Branch.
The consequences of losing the Senate today -- if that happens -- is that there will be no district judge's confirmed to openings over the next two years -- ZERO.
The Dems in the Senate will "Bet the House" on 2028. If they win the WH and maintain control of the Senate -- which I doubt -- you will see 200+ Obama appointees take Senior Status and be replaced by newer and younger zealots similar to those Biden appointed and the Senate confirmed. In addition, there will be some GOP appointed judges who will not be able to hold on until 2032, and naming their replacements will further imbalance the district courts with even more liberal progressive district judges.
In order to understand what today’s elections mean for judicial confirmations in the last two years of Donald Trump’s presidency, it’s useful to look at the list of appellate judges in active service who were appointed by Republican presidents and who are, or who will soon become, eligible to take senior status.
