Glad to see the survey. I hope that something is done about the flooding under 101 and elsewhere on the trail. I've seen @cyclelicious single handedly digging drainage ditches in the past that have helped a lot.

The affluent Bay Area suburb of Menlo Park (home of Facebook, median home price $2.6M) is planning on turning a couple downtown parking lots into multifamily affordable housing.
Predictably, many local residents are absolutely furious.

We donated some old diesel passenger trains to Peru because the Caltrain electrified the line and the Twitter anger patrol is mad we didn’t build 30,000 miles of high speed rail instead.

Looks like the new trash containerization laws are going to eat up all the bike racks. Should have seen that one coming...

I'm on the committee for a charity horse show and we have some excess logo inventory we'd like to sell off during the Xmas season. Does anybody have experience with an ecommerce solution that would be good for a small number of items with minimal fees? We already have a Square account set up and the site is built in WordPress. Thanks for any suggestions you can give!

Then Jesus said unto the sick, “you better have insurance.”
Then Jesus said unto the stranger, “are you here legally?”
Then Jesus said unto the hungry, “my taxes better not be paying for these loaves and fishes.”
Then Jesus said unto the poor, “this is your own fault.”

VMT is an auto manufacturer's invention to counter Ralph Nader's efforts to regulate vehicle safety. It's a sham and anyone using it is a shill for the auto makers and cares not one iota about road safety.

Never would have predicted this, but so far the fastest wifi we've found in San Francisco is @Caltrain at a BLAZING 300Mbps.

Guys, ridership is coming back to @SFBART! 💪
Maybe I’m the only dork who checks daily ridership numbers, but yesterday blew through their post-pandemic ridership record, and the first time BART exceeded 200k riders!
Rider experience initiatives are making a difference.

We've all experienced the sucky bike rack or just a total lack of appropriate bike parking.

NEW: The San Francisco Police Department is dressing up as inflatable chickens to catch speeding drivers going through crosswalks.
The officers are giving out citations to those who don't stop for the chicken crossing the road.
The gig is paying off as the department has given out about 40 citations with some fines costing upwards of $400.
"If you don’t see someone in a giant chicken costume, then we really have a problem," said police Lt. Jonathan Ozol to the SFGate.
"It’s having an impact. Drivers seem more aware, more cognizant. Certainly when they see the chicken."
