Can you stop this seaport excuse already? Ibadan has a seaport? Accept that your Governors are failures for once.

I wish I was the person that addressed the lady that is supposedly from Anambra but asking why Igbos prefer Lagos. Is she not aware that seaport is the main reason? Igbos are e majority in business of all sorts snd easy access to their imported goods is paramount and APC knows!
Abi na you no dey read to understand. How much did the villa spend on electricity before it was taken off-grid, and how much is it spending on electricity now? That is the question you should be asking, not ranting, because you have access to the internet.
Yes, and when more people get metered, economies of scale will take effect, and the use of Band A and so on will be phased out.

Oya let me stay on the discussion for you. That electricity subsidy is making you pay maybe a quarter or half of what you're meant to be paying on your prepaid meter. Once the remove the subsidy, you will pay all from your pocket. The 20k you pay for light will become 35k-40k.

Electricity consumers should know by now that distribution companies are doing better at tracking their supplies.
One of their biggest challenges is energy theft.
Living in an area where revenue is not matching energy supplied due to theft would be attracting regular blackout until the thieves are identified.
If you like abuse Tinubu from now till 2031, nothing will change.

Read that again.
20 year pension backlog, NOT 4 years!
Some people will not understand the accumulated problem this man is trying to resolve.
Yet opposition will mischievously ask,
"Tell me one thing this man has done"
If this alone doesn't count as substantial enough, then you're a demon.

No subsidy is eating your tomorrow today. The UK and Canada you all run to are built with taxes. This your Bambiala economics will not work for Nigeria. If it would work why haven't we develop for more than 3 decades that we have been given subsidy. How many infrastructures were we able to build during those period compared to now?
You can only sell this to your northern illiterate because the educated ones from the north will not take this from you.

Good argument.
But I still believe wealth flows downwards. The rich are employers and customers to the poor/lower class.
The tradermoni and co was a complete waste and it further increased inflation. Imagine the opportunity forgone of that fund.
You are slow. Do you bother to check the reason for strike? Always smart by half. How does Lautech concern FG.

One thing I’ve noticed about Nigeria is that many people want everything to be dirt cheap, yet they expect everything to work perfectly. They want quality education, good healthcare, stable electricity, good roads and other basic amenities, but nobody wants to talk realistically about what it costs to provide these things.
Then you hear, "Nigeria is a rich country." Okay, Nigeria has natural resources and a huge population, but how does that automatically translate into wealth for the average citizen? If we have so much potential, why are millions of people still struggling?
And the moment you talk about paying realistic prices for services, somebody will accuse you of collecting money from a political party. As if every opinion must be sponsored!
I think many Nigerians, especially some of our youths, are living in a bubble when it comes to how economies actually work. A country’s natural resources alone don’t guarantee prosperity. There has to be investment, proper management, productivity, accountability and a system that works.
Of course, people are struggling, and nobody should be forced to pay what they genuinely cannot afford. But we also need to understand that quality services cost money, and somebody has to fund them.
You cannot demand first-class services while refusing to have an honest conversation about the cost, the funding and the responsibility of both government and citizens.

In 2026, you still expect a university education to cost less than ₦50,000, yet you complain about the poor state of our universities.
You complain about ASUU strikes turning a 4-year course into 6 years. You complain about poorly equipped universities, inadequate facilities, and lecturers earning chicken change despite their qualifications and years of service.
Now, the government is introducing reforms, reviewing tuition fees, and providing student loans to help students finance their education, and you are still angry!
We want quality education, well-paid lecturers, modern facilities, uninterrupted academic calendars, and universities that can compete globally, but somehow, we expect all of this to happen without adequate funding.
Of course, education must remain affordable and accessible, and the government must be held accountable for how funds are spent. But we also need to be realistic. Quality education requires serious investment, and somebody has to pay for it.
We cannot keep demanding world-class standards while expecting everything to remain at yesterday's prices.
We want change, but we are angry whenever change comes with a cost.
Nawa ooooo! 😂🇳🇬
The metering that is going on is not a pathway to industrialisation, abi? Abi you want investors to give you free electricity?
Replying to @Femi_OfMainland
A poor emerging nation with a very young populace that is serious about development needs to take education and industrialization (electricity, loans and FTZs for factories) seriously, even if they have to incur debt doing so.
No work, abi you are not qualified for the type of work you want, or you studied a course with no value because of a low barrier to entry? There is plenty of work in the informal sector when you are ready to drop the 'I am a graduate" talk.
