Digging deeper into last night’s game vs. NYR, using 1:20 as a threshold for an extended shift, Zegras & Konecny were the worst offenders, each with two shifts longer than Michkov’s 1:35. Yet Konecny takes issue with Michkov, and Tocchet cuts his minutes. The irony.
Brother Russ with one of those rants where he deserves your time to listen.
Perfectly. Worded. Unbelievably well said from soup to nuts.
Are the Flyers holding younger players like Porter Martone & Matvei Michkov to unfair standards?

Culture™️
It's the unavoidable consequence of trying to hang onto the vets during a rebuild.
This is why teams don't do that. It isn't even about the tanking.
It's about preventing locker room disasters like the old guard fighting the hotshot new kids

Nick Saban was asked, “How do you articulate something you’re so proud of?” when discussing Jalen Hurts and the way he handled adversity.
Saban has always admired Jalen’s character and rightfully so. Hurts has trusted the process and look where it ultimately led him. From overcoming adversity to becoming a Super Bowl champion. What a journey it’s been and it’s far from being over💚🦅

Two Super Bowl appearances. 525 passing yards. 142 rushing yards. 7 total touchdowns.
Jalen Hurts has proven time and time again that he’s built for the biggest moments. There’s a lot to be proud of when it comes to QB1💚🦅

I've listened to a couple of sports shows today where I've heard people calling Michkov "selfish"
Not sure where exactly that's coming from, especially seeing how he's constantly crediting his teammates and the team as a whole for his success
But even if he is "selfish", the kid has almost a THIRD of the team's goals and has been treated like garbage by this head coach
I wouldn't blame the kid for being selfish and wanting to better himself, especially because the rest of the team flat out STINKS

Matvei Michkov Should Be Allowed to Quadruple Shift, Since He’s One of the Few Flyers Who Can Actually Score a Goal or Create a Chance
