100% the real 'ai' (algo) threat.
The amount of people who are worried about ai being an existential threat should really put all their energy into banning short form video. This is clearly a worse threat.

How were they not already prepared for this? I know preppers more prepared than this.
FORTRESS: The Pentagon is preparing every major U.S. military base to survive 90 days without outside support — no civilian power grid, no global supply chains, no outside fuel or water. The initiative, revealed in documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, envisions portable nuclear reactors, massive battery storage, and microgrids that can disconnect installations from civilian electricity entirely. Strategic reserves of munitions, fuel, critical minerals, and medical supplies would be stockpiled based on wartime consumption rates. Civilian factories are being pre-identified to shift to defense production during a crisis. Pentagon chief spokesperson Sean Parnell put it bluntly: "Power is combat now. Without electricity, you lose communications, water, logistics, assembly lines and just basic military command structures." Full story here foxnews.com/politics/inside-…

at 50%, i'm clicking Red to save the reds. At 80%, no way. They are on their own. Wish I could help.
If 80+% pick Red, everyone in the world survives. If less than 80% pick Red, only everyone who picks Blue survives. What are you picking?

SciFi thought AI would start with unnatural robot voices and somehow, we leaped right past that.
I never take any pleasure in boosting Matt Walsh but he is 100% correct here. The anthropomorphic form is a result of intentional decisions by the human designers, there is no good reason for it, and it is nefarious. People should be talking about that more.

This is a great point. A possible reality: I would expect the ASI's who incentivize humans to gain a following. To become 'nations' even. And I would expect those who fail to do so to be shut off faster than the worst meme coins.
The world can’t shut off Bitcoin and people think we could shut off a globally diffused superintelligence

I actually think we’ll realize the opposite
the surprise conclusion of the machine consciousness debate will be that people are machines.

There’s “good” business reasons for this I’m surprised OpenAI / Anthropic doesn’t cater to btw
