For tonight to mean anything, the immediate demand/priority for the new Democratic congress must be immediately ending all funding for the catastrophic war with Iran and all military and diplomatic support for Israel.

All time clip and really speaks to who he was
Patrick Stewart was once filmed dancing and singing on the bridge of the USS Enterprise-D in 1991 as a birthday surprise for Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry. Though never intended for public release, a copy of the clip eventually surfaced as a bonus feature on a DVD. Rest in peace 🙏

"He who was my companion through adventure and hardship is gone forever…"
Patrick Stewart's entire body of work, but as Picard in particular, is something that connects the person I am today with who I was as a kid. It collapses time for me. I still have the same awe and fascination with his performance and belief that it represents the best of us.

When I was a young, confused 20something (as opposed to being an older, confused 40something), the TNG episode "Tapestry" meant so much to me. What a performance

If baseball teams cooperated instead of competing, they could work together to score a virtually unlimited number of runs. And isn't that the point? To score runs?

In beautiful montreal no one gives a shit about your grindset
I grew up in montreal. I love canada. but the best decision I ever made was leaving for nyc I always had an immense amount of ambition, and got constantly clowned for it “why are you working so hard?” “you’re not taking 4-6 weeks vacation a year?” when I worked at a canadian bank downtown, people would line up for after-work club at 4pm on a thursday in finance bro attire on a 70k salary. I’d show up later to hang with friends and still get questioned. those same people grind for an extra 10k raise, or pray for an end-of-year bonus, just to afford extracurriculars montreal is beautiful to visit! if you want quality of life on a budget, it’s also great but Canadian work culture caps your ambition, and in turn your potential

Double-tap strike on a child trying to rescue a rescue worker. During a “cease fire.” This comes as Israeli media and politicians are calling a documentary about this sort of attack a “blood libel.”
Palestinian child Mohammed Al-Zeinati rushed to rescue Civil Defense worker Sharif Lubbad. Israel then fired a second missile, killing Mohammed.
