Always curious. Nearly done writing a short, practical book on patience for busy parents, to scratch my own itch & exploring how to be a better dad @Being_Dads.

Just a little reminder that Government have spent more money on the failed Rwanda scheme than it did on domestic abuse refuges for women and children.

I was, sadly, laid off today. Putting the feelers out for open positions, both full-time and freelance. I have 12+ years of experience covering culture, food and drink, travel and lifestyle as a writer, editor and project manager. Email is [email protected], fire away!

Just a little personal vent. @UKMercer - based on my experience, I'd say don't touch them with a barge pole if you can possibly avoid them. A year on, I am still trying to get my own money from them

His answer to the question, “Why must you always concentrate on color?” is the best answer I’ve ever heard. Must watch.

Looks like the Express has another poll in dire need of help. Twitter, do what you're best at!
(I've linked straight to the 3rd party-hosted poll itself so you don't get bothered by all the Express website ads. Ignore the request for an email address.)

EXCLUSIVE: Last year I tweeted my story that @BorisJohnson had faked nearly dying of Covid-19, otherwise known as the #Deathgate scandal.
But now, after a 3 year investigation, we have discovered it was MUCH WORSE than that.

Over the last 30 years, water company shareholders have pocketed £57bn - money that should have gone into improving infrastructure.
Saying sorry is not enough, and suggesting that the public should pay for this through their bills - again! - adds insult to injury.

As floods & fires rise, oceans boil & ice melts, and "safe" temperatures are breached, something momentous just happened in the heart of the EU. No one has heard about it: journalists were present, but their editors refused to publish 🤯.

NEW: A Montreal borough will charge owners of heavy cars more for a parking permit. Fee amounts will be less for EVs/hybrids vs ICE vehicles, and in either case the fee will increase by weight.
This is smart public policy that every place should be doing.

Idea worth stealing:
A Montreal borough will charge owners of heavy cars $205 CAD/year for a parking permit, 78% more than for lighter models.
To fight car bloat, we need these kinds of weight-based fees.

When UKIP won 166 councillors (but no councils) in 2014 the BBC called this a "political earthquake".
@TheGreenParty just gained 200 councillors, taking the total to 737, took control of a council & became the biggest party in several others.
But 0 Green guests on #bbclaurak.

Yes it really is that important. @jennirsl

Please read; the most important piece I've written. Mass poisoning has suddenly killed off most sea life for 30 miles by the Tees. The govt claims it's natural; ind scientists warn it's manmade. The govt is desperate not to inquire too deeply as its freeport policy is at stake.
