Stop what you’re doing, grab a coffee, put your feet up and LISTEN. Spend 10 minutes of your life to begin with a joke and end with HOPE.
Meet Noah Eckstein. If anyone ever tells you that wisdom only arrives once you’ve lived your life THINK AGAIN.
I want you to watch this commencement address to the class of 2026 at Harvard University, from the grandson of a Muslim and a Jew who fled the Holocaust.
No teleprompter, no notes, just a speech from the heart that EVERY politician who would seek to divide us would do well to learn from.
It’s profound in so many ways, but as an old man, Noah reminds me that there is still hope if we just learn to LISTEN.

£10 spent on benefits isn't just £10 lost, it's £10 that will then be spent on food, or rent which keeps circulating in the economy. £10 given to big businesses in a tax cut just ends up in a profit margin, or a millionaire shareholders pocket. Its likely never spent again.

Tax the rich?
Everyone is against it until they find out how it actually works.
Watch and find out how Wealth Taxes actually work.

#SAFC going the extra mile to light up the Stadium of Light red tonight in support of @SRTRC_England’s ‘Wear Red Day’.
Thank you for your 30 years of leadership standing against racism in Sunderland.
One team: on the pitch and in our city 🔴⚪️💪

Don’t worry about it, Nigel. So long as you keep the Daily Mail on your side, like I did, you’ll be fine.

We spent £137 billion on bailing out the banks after 2008.
Tell me again how we can't afford disabled people and pensioners.

I've lived long enough to know the Tory party well. It's a party that is obsessed with cutting tax, cutting public services, reducing welfare to the bare minimum & ensuring that the wealthy thrive whilst the poor get poorer.
That never changes. It's a core principle for them.

The man who
- fought for Brexit yet sought German passports, spent much of his time in Brussels and has a French partner
- claims to back pensioners whilst having £5million in crypto down the back of the sofa and an enhanced EU pension kicking in from April next year.
- the man who mirrors Trump but possesses even less ability
- the man who is surrounded by failed UKIPpers from 20 years ago - spouting the same tired lines

The bottom line is Manchester City owe English football an apology. They cheated & warped our game. I know it’s nothing to do with the guys on the pitch but most of them wouldn’t have been there if City had played by the rules. Their achievements feel very hollow right now.

If I say, "ketchup is the worst," that's just an opinion.
If I say, "people who like ketchup are idiots," that's bullying.
If I say, "because I don't like ketchup, no one should be allowed to have it," that's oppression.
If I say, "people who eat ketchup are dangerous and must be controlled," that's racism, bigotry, and fascism.
If I say, "anyone who defends ketchup should be silenced or locked up," that's the destruction of free speech and democracy.

Bowie and the Tom Robinson Band made me question homophobia, hanging out at reggae gigs helped me reject my parents' racism, hearing The Clash drew me towards leftwing politics. And now now Laura Kuenssberg is questioning whether musicians should take political stances?

Tesco has 20,000 employees on their basic £13ph
The majority of these claim income support.
That taxpayers money should be deducted from Tesco's annual pretax profit of £2.4 BILLION
We should NOT all be helping Tesco shareholders.
Same for ALL major low pay employers.

My view on @ReformUkWear’s withdrawal of Council support from @SRTRC_England.
‘Be more Benno’ is not a bad maxim to guide us in times like this👇

Just so there’s no ambiguity here, just so I’m painstakingly clear:
Yes, if you support reform, you are openly racist and xenophobic.
There is no debate to be had here, mental gymnastics, and twisting words won’t work.
Reform are racist, their supporters are racist.
#safc Fans who want to force their own political views on our club are not what we need. It’s important that Sunderland welcome all views and thus stay neutral.
ironically it’s Ben that sounds full of hatred.🤷♂️
