Imagine how shitty those Mar-a-Lago dinner parties are going to be with those lounge lizards in gaudy outfits with too much makeup & too many surgeries shelling out a million bucks a year to sit there and listen to that old fool whine & cry for hours that nobody appreciates him.

On judicial nominations, massive Democrat takeover of Senate means:
1. Trump will not be able to appoint any justices or judges during his last two years in office (absent one-sided deal in favor of Dems).
2. If a Republican is elected president in 2028, that president will not be able to appoint any justices or judges until Republicans regain the Senate. Given the deep hole, that might not happen until 2033.
3. I'd be extremely surprised if any justice announces resignation now (for end of term) in hope of lame-duck confirmation of successor. Among other things, it's highly doubtful that Rs would have the vote to confirm. If Sherrod Brown wins Ohio seat, he gets sworn into Senate in early December, so Senate becomes 52R-48D. Collins and Murkowski would be unlikely to support anyone Trump would nominate. John Cornyn, Thom Tillis, and Bill Cassidy aren’t going to be eager to do Trump any favors. And there are other senators—e.g., John Curtis of Utah—who would be leery of anyone Trump would be eager to push through.

Seven fast thoughts from tonight, which is tracking to 55 Dem Senate and 250 Dem House:
1) Polls were right; everyone was doing cope about the polls having an error
2) Trump did everything he could to lose this election, & gave up many chances to mitigate. Material politics is not dead.
3) Dems have a trial period from the voters but nothing more; I suspect mandate will be misread given this euphoria.
4) Dems probably left seats on board, especially Senate seats in MS, MT, and NE.
5) Money continues to be overrated as a campaign tool, especially versus earned media
6) Narrative fight will begin tomorrow am after Senate is officially called around 1 AM
7) The Long 2016 has finally ended. It’s a New World that will dawn tomorrow. Everyone needs to be ready for change.

Dear MAGA,
All the repulsive stuff you cheered for at his rallies? Those are the reasons why you lost.
Bigly.

How utterly fantastic it is that we will soon no longer have to stomach hypocritical smug sanctimonious lying repulsive worm Mike Johnson as speaker.

Against all odds, with almost no one outside of my family, friends, and closest team members believing it was possible - the woman who wrote the tweet below and started this journey by Googling “how to run for office in Texas,” has flipped an 18 pt Republican seat to become the next Texas State Representative for House District 132.
This is OUR home, and together, we did indeed take it back.
From my day one promise: Zero outside influence. Zero corporate PAC money. Zero values compromised. Just neighbors talking to neighbors and working together to fight for our community.
Of the PEOPLE.
By the PEOPLE.
For the PEOPLE.
PERIOD.
Tomorrow, we sleep. Thursday, we get to work.
Thank you for asking! And for anyone curious about my journey, I’m happy to share.
I got my first job at Boston Market on Fry Rd when I was 15. It’s a McDonald’s now, which is a shame, because I miss the sandwiches.
My second job was at Schlotzky’s on Mason Rd (old location)
From age 17-19 I worked at Cracker Barrel at I-10 and Barker Cypress.
From age 19-22 I was a bartender. I also got married and had two kids.
At 23, I was divorced with 2 small children and at a cross roads.
I woke up one day and decided that wasn’t the life I wanted for myself or my children. So I moved home with my mom and I enrolled in a Radiology Technology program.
My schedule for the next 2 years was:
School M-F 7:00a-3:00p. Come home, spend time with my kids. Put them to bed and then go to my bartending job from 8:00p-2:00a - back at school at 7:00a the next morning.
I graduated and my first job out of x-ray school was as an x-ray tech in a hospital working what they call a compressed weekend. I worked both Saturday and Sunday from 7:00a-11:00p for a total of 32 hours.
Only, at $16.09 an hour, that wasn’t enough to support my family. So I got an advanced certificate in Mammography and worked at a mammography clinic during the week.
I did that for 4 years. 72 hours a week for 4 years.
Then I was fortunate enough to be promoted into an Imaging Manager position. Not yet ready to slow down, I worked in that position as my day job, while also working at a free-standing ED as a CT/x-ray tech for a 12 hour shift each weekend.
Oh, and while doing all this, I was also chipping away at my Bachelor’s degree.
It wasn’t until 2020 when I graduated from college that, for the first time in 25 years, I had only one job and wasn’t either working a second job or also attending school.
After a break of a few years, I am now working full time and running for office in every second of my spare time.
So, Jay G (if that is your real name), which part of that life experience would make me unqualified to understand the unique challenges that we are facing in this world?
Happy Sunday, everyone!

Just heard on CNN that @ossoff, safely cruising to re-election in what was originally thought to be a vulnerable senate seat in Georgia, was endorsed by many Republican mayors because his constituent service work was so good.
Imagine living in a reality where “constituent services” was the driving issue behind the electing of members of Congress.
Would probably be a good sign.
