I think weโre losing sight of what a fandom actually is. Nobody should feel obligated to create anything to earn their place in a community. And creating art or writing fics doesn't make you superior to anyone else. You're sharing a hobby, not doing anyone a favor

as long as we're talking about fanfic i do think if an author asks you not to download, store or share files of their work you should respect that, like i fear that is common sense
