More than 100 gathered outside #Brookline Town Hall just now to rally for Gerald Alston, the Black firefighter the town fired after he reported racism and retaliation in the workplace. Earlier this week, the state’s highest court determined that firing unjust. Story to follow

Today Gerald Alston finally got justice. – at Brookline, MA
ALT Today the highest court in Massachusetts, the Supreme Judicial Court, ruled in favor of firefighter Gerald Alston and against the town of Brookline, acknowledging the discrimination against Mr. Alston. Today, Gerald Alston finally got justice. Let us take a minute and acknowledge this win for Mr. Alston and his family, and to recognize this small measure of justice. This was a loss for Brookline’s leaders in court, but it is undeniably a win for the residents and employees of Brookline. This is a chance for us to face our Town’s racism and do something about it; to know better and do better. The Supreme Court of MA reviewed and upheld the MA Civil Service Commission decision in favor of Mr. Alston; a decision that found he was discriminated against — and then retaliated against — by town employees and officials at all levels, including the Select Board.

It's early yet for my campaign, but not too early for me to let an opportunity pass w/o a donation link. Especially in this COVID era, campaigns need funds to get the word out via signs and mailers.

Hey @DHLUS, your employee told my friend to "go home" when she asked him to wear a mask over his nose on @NYCTSubway this morning. He refused to pull up mask for entire ride. Is this the image you want your employees to project? She's a COVID survivor and worried for others. 😷
Please issue a shelter-in-place for Boston & surrounding communities @MassGovernor Until you do, so many people will proceed with business as usual! #shutMAdown and save lives!
