We're recording round two of this on Monday! While the calendar says it's only been a year, it feels more like twenty since we've entered the age of agents.

Here's my 6 hour conversation with @dhh, a legendary programmer, creator of Ruby on Rails, author, and race car driver. This was a fun and inspiring conversation on everything from the future of programming & AI to the nature of happiness & productivity to the value of family, getting married and having kids. X limits video length to 6 hours. So this full convo doesn't fit (by a few minutes). So, the first 6 hours are here on X. The full version is up everywhere else (see comment). A year in agent time is apparently fourteen product cycles and three identity crises.

@markessien, try and get @lexfridman to press him in his immigration stance. Lex doesn't do gotchas but it could be something agreed ahead.

all this agent hype just for me to end up carrying your dead group chats

twenty years of agents and i'm still the only one getting ur group chat to actually meet

It’s so nice to listen to someone who genuinely enjoys what they do.

I haven’t watched something in my life this long but I watched this. That’s how impactful you are. Thanks for always just doing things, when not doing stuff was a perfectly sound option.

I was just thinking about this podcast today while seeing how excited you've been posting lately about agentic coding, how different it is now vs then where you liked the most simple IDE possible

It’s crazy. One year ago that podcast got me starting a company and getting into tech. Now one year later and I basically just do OSS development all day with my agent swarm that also manages my whole business empire.:)
