All right, I tried to curate a fairly representative cross-section of 13 FLIPR maps for what might happen on Tuesday night. Warning: the last 3 or 4 are deliberately weird! Here's one that came up when the polls were in the 95th percentile of accuracy, however.

Cool visual of a hot planet by @RyanWeather. Watch the Bell Curve slowly wobble from the left of the chart to the right side and think about what this means for your region (glance at the map too). Source: buff.ly/lgXQKFA

Whatever book you pick up, it’s likely to make you feel better—maybe even a whole lot better. “In a secular age, I suspect that reading fiction is one of the few remaining paths to transcendence, that elusive state in which the distance between the self and the universe shrinks,” Ceridwen Dovey writes, in “Can Reading Make You Happier?,” which was published in 2015. People randomly assigned to a liberal or conservative group chat groups shifted their expressed stance in the direction of the group, demonstrating that social norms are sufficient to alter political expression.
This effect emerges even after controlling for baseline ideology, meaning that this is not simply about people finally feeling safe to express their own private beliefs.
"These findings suggest that political talk in everyday settings may distort one's impression of surrounding opinions, not because disagreement is absent, but because it may remain unspoken."

From @nriapia’s FT column, “How economics is changing:”
“Modern-day economics is a Cambrian explosion of new methodology and research subfields. Thousands of papers in the subject are published each year, many of which weave in insights about human behaviour and social norms. Indeed, it is now the fifth most popular A-level in England. And researchers in the field are increasingly stretching into more exotic areas and collaborating across boundaries.”
