How to help Ukraine right now, a thread. One easy task for everyone and four more to chose from. 1. Share cont content about Ukraine instead of just liking it. This is the simplest way to amplify the message and build support. Start with this thread.

I've heard of peak network performance degradation, but getting barely 1% of the speed that I pay for and that lasting for over an hour already is something very new to me. And that's after 2 reboots already. @XfinitySupport

Can someone at @lufthansa or @Lufthansa_USA explain to me how I started the chat at 12:07PM today at position 181 have been in position 54 since 2:32PM, while another chat started at 4:03PM got from 78 to 65 in 30 minutes? Your support system is broken and it wastes time!

America’s political landscape is more complicated than it used to be. Here’s my attempt to depict what I see as the seven broad camps today. Most people I know fall pretty cleanly into one of these circles (each of which has some common ground with the two adjacent circles). Some additional points: - The top two circles (green/yellow) are concerned first and foremost with the rise of illiberalismβ€”disregard for the constitution, cancel culture, mob behavior, political violence. They see liberal vs illiberal as more critical right now than left vs right. In 2020, they agreed that wokeness was bad but today they’re divided on whether Trump or Harris/Biden are the lesser of two evils. - For the middle two circles (blue/red), left vs right is the main thing. They’re not illiberal themselves but tend to focus on illiberalism from the other side while ignoring or condoning illiberalism from their own team. Both skew older and are the main consumers of traditional media, whether it be cable news or newspapers. - The two lower circles (pink/orange) share a strong sense of grievance, place utmost importance on identity, tend to view identity groups (race, religion, sex, etc.) as monoliths, and are prone to believing conspiracy theories that fit with their worldview. Both skew younger, with woke skewing feminine and upper class and groyper skewing masculine and lower class. Both use revolutionary rhetoric, seeing the establishment as rotten to the core, and readily employ illiberal tactics under the belief that desperate times call for desperate measures. Thoughts?

I get that @wcp is doing whatever they can to generate revenue including RSS feed injections, but they really need to check in with their provider on how appropriate the content is.

Dear @DreamHost, please stop extorting me for domain registration after I've paid nearly $1,500 in hosting fees and cancel my account.

I'm so "excited" about transaction tags in @RocketMoneyApp! Mint used to have them 10 years ago. Mint has been gone for 18 months. What other surprises are there in Rocket's product road map?

I just saw an Army captain and major patrolling on the DC Metro. No enlisted ranks were with them. This such a great use of officer skills and pay.

If Ed Luttwak is using this language, things are really bad in Israel.
Netanyahu included 2 ultra-extremists to achieve his tenuous majority. With it, he was able to persist in war, till he undid Iran's v costly encirclement of Israel, turning tactical defeat into strategic victory. But Ben Gvir & Smotrich now act like rabid dogs. They MUST go

So, this is a first in D.C. politics: Yesterday @trayonwhite shared a video on his Instagram account of a woman encouraging people to go vote. (There was some light endorsement of his message, also.) The video, though, is AI-generated.

I used to giggle at the color version of the USAF roundel because the stripes are white-red-white, like the Belarusian national flag. This graphic is beyond despicable. Multiple people have signed off on it and nobody noticed the obvious use of the Russian flag.
Happy Flag Day! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Let us honor the emblem of our nation and the stars and stripes that unite us all. As we display our nations flag and reflect on the values it represents, let’s celebrate the freedom, courage and resilience that makes our country great.

Galaxy #OneUI7 is a usability downgrade. Lock screen notification bubbles are huge. I can't have a quick glance of what's pending, and the perfectly limited control widgets are replaced with weird Now Bar. What were they thinking?

The day that @Delta / @Republicairways get their operations under control, pigs will fly in formations. It could be post-COVID, but I've never had so many issues one one airline l. Only 3 of 10-12ish flights since 2003 weren't delayed for 30+ minutes or luggage arrived with me.

My @Delta flight record between NYC and DCA is 0/3 for on time departures when flying E70. Gate > takeoff delay, weather ground stop, and now a mechanical issue. Support is reasonably good, but the core service is horrendous.

As much as the lack of an official language is an American peculiarity, the Executive branch is permitted to do only whatever is written in the Constitution and this has interstate commerce vibes.
Executive Order Alert! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ ENGLISH IS NOW THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF THE UNITED STATES. America is SO BACK!

It is the middle of February 2025. I still need to chat/call/wait any airline to get my PNR on codeshare flights in order to select my seats. Why can't both PNRs be available right away? It's so much wasted time on both ends. @united @Delta @AmericanAir

Mid-February with sunsets after 5PM always catches me with as much surprise as mid-November catches me with before 5PM sunsets. It's so nice to live around 40Β° latitude where we don't get extra long days in the summer, but we end work days before sunset for 8/12 months.

Do we really want to pit A1S8C3 against 1A? If the Commerce Clause is ruled to have superior power, then any protest can become an interrupter of commerce and that's a path to Russian legal system.
I will soon reintroduce legislation to make blocking a highway intentionally a federal crime. First Hamas supporters, now illegals and their enablers, are stopping traffic. To make America safe again, we must have law and order.

I'll just wait and see until these geniuses find out how Russia and China influence global affairs to their benefit. The US soft power is benign in comparison.
🚨 BREAKING: The Trump admin is moving to shut down USAID. And the deep state is furious. 😠 Why? Because USAID isn’t really a "humanitarian aid agency" β€” it’s a covert intelligence arm funding coups, protests & regime change. Here’s a 🧡 on its worst operations: 1/
