In 2024, the Brewers lost an absolute crusher to the Mets in the Wild Card round. I remember vividly how devastated Bob Uecker sounded calling the end of that game. It ended up being his last game, as he died the following January. Somehow, I hope he’s happy right now.

As it relates to my feelings on this, no one likes Alonso more than me but we know I've been banging the table for a true ace and Jacob Misiorowski definitely qualifies. He's gonna be a top 10 prospect in MLB this time next year. I do the deal if we bring back Pete in free agency

I haven't believed these Pete Alonso trade rumors until I just read Rosenthal say a Mets deal with the Brewers came close. The two clubs are definitely doing some digging on each other and this could come to fruition this offseason if David Stearns comes to the Mets as expected.
