My conversation on AI with @dureakram. What today's leaders need to know about AI.
🙏🙏
Good discussion indeed. Erosion of entry level jobs, and changing the nature of work as we know it now are very very real. How far and in what directions Pakistan will pulsate with the change is yet to see, but unlike the "digital" revolution, AI is far more influential and consequential. As a CEO, I do not need many people any longer!
🙏🙏
Pakistan has a #ChatGPT generation that can prompt and polish in seconds. What it still lacks is an AI generation that builds, deploys, and owns the systems underneath. Most universities keep producing consumers while the real leverage sits with creators.
Watched Dure Akram’s conversation with @NaveedIftikhar of @atomcamp. Sharp, no-nonsense, and exactly the kind of clear-eyed discussion this gap needs. Well crafted podcast.
#Pakistan has a ChatGPT generation. But does it have an #AI generation?
Are our universities preparing students to build technology or simply use it?
I spoke with @atomcamp co-founder @NaveedIftikhar about AI, education and #Pakistan’s future.

Here are some common sense recommendations from my friend @ImranShauk14648 for steps that South Asian states can take to facilitate greater people to people and business to business linkages. It all starts with connectivity.

I saw a tweet the other day arguing Pakistan should ease tensions with Afghanistan and India because Trump cut sanctions on Russia.
Sure, talk. But will Kabul act against militants? What can Islamabad and New Delhi agree on?

Hats off to Imran Amin 👏
Lahore’s CBD (Central Business District) is setting a new benchmark for urban development in Pakistan, bringing together skyscrapers, corporate headquarters, government offices, residential and mixed-use districts, healthcare, education and hospitality within a modern metropolitan vision.
It is time for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to pursue a similar vision. A CBD in Peshawar could attract international investment, generate employment for educated youth and skilled labour, and unlock the province’s economic potential.
Development must rise above political cycles. Pakistan needs continuity of vision, modern infrastructure and bold execution. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa must look beyond outdated development models and take the decisive steps needed to build a city that can compete on the international stage.

Most people who are struggling don't look like it. They look like the employee of the month. The son in the graduation photo. The friend who always replies first.
Last year I lost a friend and colleague to suicide. He was the one who'd notice if you were having a bad day. I'm not sure any of us noticed his.
Today, on World Mental Health Day, I'm launching Minds at Peace Foundation (@mindsatpeacef), to break that silence before it becomes a crisis.
Think of the person in your life who always says they're fine. Message them today. And when they say "fine", ask again.
