If you're perfectly happy with your restlessness, ambitions, distractions, and endless searching, stay away from Siddhartha. You might finish it and start wondering: "What if I don't actually need to keep chasing the next thing?" That's a rather inconvenient question.

How to glorify the bad and make it look good? Bollywood has mastered the art - pride, anger and unbridled ambition included
"Ravan is better than Rama". This WAS "their" purpose & "they" have hit the target. What next? How AR Rahman's Sufi Track during Prabhu Shri Ram & Sita Ji's marriage is better than Hanuman Chalisa? Even that will be successful. Paisa bolta hai, SM pe Promotion dolta hai.

Writing code by hand was never the hard part. Knowing what not to build was. Agents just made that more obvious.
this Claude paper is f*cking insane it's pretty much how anthropic's own engineers ship code without writing it by hand anymore. 5 components, one script, 5 AI agents coding in parallel, all of it spelled out on a single page. paste it into Opus 5.5 tonight and wake up to 5 finished features with every test passing. the crazy part is companies are still hiring 10-person dev teams while one engineer with this setup ships the same output alone. full breakdown in the article below. bookmark it before this thread gets buried.

A standing desk is still a desk. Your body wants you to leave it, not stand at it all day.

Goldman didn't ban AI. It banned shipping without ownership. AI can write the tool in ten minutes. Someone still has to answer the phone when it breaks in production.
GOLDMAN SACHS WAS PRAISING VIBE CODING JUST MONTHS AGO now it’s restricting AI coding tools to engineers → traders and bankers were building their own tools with AI → now goldman says the experiment is over the real question: who gets to build with AI at work? and who gets to decide..? 💀

Diwali weight gain doesn't happen on Diwali. It happens in the ten days of "bas ek piece" at office before it.

🚨 BREAKING: Today we killed agentic AI. I just watched my Mac finish a 16-hour workday in 183 seconds. This is absurd.

This movie shouldn't have been made. Not because it's bad, but because it has set the bar so high that expectations from every future movie will be difficult to match.
This is how music should be used in a commercial film.

The real story isn't the unlimited AI tokens. It's that a capable engineer was sitting five levels down, and nobody noticed until the president went looking. How many people like him are in your company right now, stuck in status meetings?
❗️ Cisco gave a 27-year-old ex-founder unlimited AI tokens and a target of refactoring 98% of its legacy code within 24 months. Cisco bought his translation startup EzDubs in 2025. President Jeetu Patel says he later found Padmanabhan Krishnamurthy five levels below him, "buried away in the organization doing something unstrategic". Krishnamurthy pitched it as a two-person job and gave himself 4 weeks to prove it. Patel's brief was "you can go nuts".

When we look at distant galaxies, we see them as they existed millions or billions of years ago. We observe them in our present, but witness their past. Perhaps the universe is teaching us something profound: what we call "now" is not necessarily everyone's present.

You cannot control how people perceive your appearance, only how much importance you give their opinions.

Your appraisal happens once a year. So should your full body checkup. Only one of them decides how long you get to enjoy the hike.

We were told AI would give engineers their time back. For a lot of on-call folks it's taking their sleep instead. More AI code, more PRs, more 2am alerts. Speed without review doesn't save work. It just moves it to the middle of the night.
One interesting data point from @rootlyhq is how devs are getting paged ~2x as much outside working hours vs a year ago. The reason? Most likely ~2x PR frequency, thanks to a lot more PRs and code pushed that are AI-generated / written

During my Narmada journey, I stopped at a small village for tea. Along with the tea, they offered us some snacks for free. "We made these at home. Please have some," they said. Honestly, that small gesture stayed with me. They didn't know us. We were just strangers passing through their village. Yet, they wanted us to taste something they had made at home. No big words about kindness. No show-off. Just simple people being generous. Sometimes, it's these little moments on a journey that stay with you longer than the places you visit.

As I grow older, I'm learning that not every opinion deserves a response, not every judgment needs to be corrected, and not every person needs to be convinced of my worth. My energy is too precious to spend proving myself. I'd rather spend it living my life.

Unpopular opinion: the best developers aren't the ones who never leave their desk. They're the ones who know when to get up. Some of the hardest problems get solved on a walk, not in front of the monitor. Where do your best ideas show up?

Upgrade your skills, downgrade your lifestyle, and never mistake a high salary for security. AI can replace your role overnight, but your EMIs, family responsibilities, and life's expenses won't disappear with it.

What worries me about AI layoffs isn't just the jobs being lost. It's the economic ripple effect. When professionals lose jobs or purchasing power, they spend less. Homes, cars, schools, restaurants and small businesses feel the impact. AI may boost corporate profits, but what happens if consumer demand weakens? An economy needs people who can afford to buy what businesses produce. #Microsoft #Layoffs #AI

Years of experience in IT taught me to obsess over uptime, patching and backups. Funny how rarely we do that for ourselves. Late releases, 1am calls, skipped walks, and then we're surprised when the system crashes. Your body needs maintenance windows too. What's one maintenance window you never skip?

18+ years in IT, and I've watched reorgs, layoffs, and "stable" companies change overnight. Today's Microsoft buyout news is another reminder: nothing in the corporate world is permanent. The one thing no company can restructure is your health. Your sleep, your strength, your daily walk. Your job title belongs to your employer. Your body belongs to you. Lately, I've been making time for long walks, spending time in nature, and finding moments of stillness away from screens and deadlines. My Narmada journey reminded me how much we need that disconnect. What's one habit you keep that has nothing to do with work?

Poor civic sense. Hazardous infrastructure. A tragic consequence. Sadly, a life was lost.
