The more people that hate AI
The bigger moat between me and all future competition
Stay hating my friends... stay hating
Fatherhood has seen me develope skills I’d have never expected
My animal noises are on point, particularly my horses neigh.
My son goes wild for it
I got sick of my ads account not being MCP connected.
So... I created a new one for my brand and, wouldnt you know, now MCP = True
Now I got to run an awareness campaign to a waitlist to beef up my limits in time for launch
Automation about to get wildddddd
Batch #4 just poured.
Texture is right, but balm hardened more than it should have when placed in a cold room.
Adjust oil ratio's to be less coconut and more an oil with a lower solid temp

red flags to look for in hires that will save you a lot of money:
1) don't hire someone who can't stay at a job past a full year. if they have a history of hopping around in under 12 months, something is wrong with them. you don't need the drama.
2) hiring a creative? ask for a sample. hiring a writer? ask them to write something w/ a small brief live on a call. can't really fake it with ai. you want someone who knows fundamentals and you need to test for it.
3) check references. but be aware that references lie, so cross reference it with the above.
4) check personal profiles and avoid anyone that is a liability. you know what i mean....
5) referrals can both be the best thing ever, and the worst thing ever
if referred, you may be inclined to skip usual steps. do not. they can still be really bad.
on the other side, the best talent = knows the best talent. so referrals can solve massive talent issues for orgs. incentivize it. it can be as little as 1k for a hired referral.
6) A players hate B players and below. If you hire someone who is bad, and you hesitate to fire them, your strong team members will sense it. it makes your culture worse rewarding mediocre people.
be very very quick to fire obviously bad fits, and set an example that they can't stay around for very long if you are lazy and not good at your job
7) young people don't understand comp. they will expect to make a lot, and expect raises a lot faster/etc than mid career to senior people. they will also need more training and hand holding
but - they have 10x more energy, and the right young person can be a lifeblood of fresh ideas into the org.
8) try to promote from within. if you visibly reward great work and loyalty, others will be inclined to behave in kind. when you bring someone external (make sure it makes a lot of sense). it might demotivate someone who obviously could have done the job internally (and who doesn't need a lot of ramp up and training)
remember the golden rule -
one fantastic hire can change everything. people are leverage. with ai they have even more leverage by being able to do 10x more.
This has officially passed the wife test.
Have 2 or 3 iterations for prefernece - then a pressure test of extreme conditions in a humidifier but... I'm in the green to contact manufacturers.
Exciting times
My test balm round 3 had the exact texture and fixed the smell issue rounds 1 and 2 had.
If it passes wife test - we could have recipe lock.
i am probably in the top 1% of AI users worldwide, and i pay for todoist, a to do list app...
the effort of vibe-coding it & syncing w/ team is absolutely not worth the $7/month in my eyes
with that being said, i do see how people who make their living by vibe-coding 12+ saas products per year feel this way
this is already what they do, they price the time spent building at $0
there's already billions in turning 2 click solutions into 1 click solutions, frictionless solutions will keep winning
Great step by step guide to building out a creator program
At a wedding in the DR , and last night taught some of the 20 something cousins the basics of smoking a cigar. They were enthusiastic to hear me out

Today’s the day that I introduce you all to Zen Wave by Altheon Lab. Formulated by the absolute best in the game @BowTiedUM. Overly simplified but the ingredients work synergistically to balance GABA and glutamate. Allows you to get into a calm, flow state if you take it early in the day, and a tranquil, zen like state, without the sedation if you take it in the evening. These are only some of the benefits. I'll let the GOAT explain it in detail.
It features:
770 mg of ATAMg®, which is a patented form of magnesium that easily crosses the blood-brain barrier
3 grams of taurine, which helps balance GABA and glutamate,
600 mg of l-theanine, raising alpha brain waves, and
300 mg of magnesium glycinate, which pairs well with all of these and also helps with multiform magnesium saturation.
I had a lot of personal anecdotes with the ingredients individually, but when combined, it's like nothing I have experienced before.
When I started the process of getting into ecom, my North Star was that I would only sell what I'd take myself and be comfortable enough to give to my family and loved ones. So in developing Zen Wave, I took great care in working with vendors and suppliers that share the same values. Zen Wave is third party tested and manufactured in the USA.
A lot of personal issues slowed things down, but I kept pushing through. Finally, when we found out my wife was expecting last summer, I made it my mission to see this through, so I can help her retire early.
Zen Wave is available at: altheonlab.com
Lastly, I will forever be grateful to @BowTiedUM. Thank you, brother.
Copped a brand new cosori dehydrator off Facebook marketplace.
Met someone in a van in the hood. 40% off. I did not ask how they acquired said equipment.
Business!!
Scored a dehydrator on Facebook Marketplace.

BowTied is one of my favorite communities on the internet.
For a long time I've been following and reading many bowtied substacks, and one of the problems is that discoverability for newer ones is hard and slow (and many of them are dead but clutter search results).
At the same time, there are many people who post things I'm occasionally interested in, but I don't want every post for them.
This is why I've built bowtiedjungle.com
With this website, people can track all the latest bowtied posts from their respective substacks, and filter by category and time, and free and paid, and even find popular posts by the number of likes.
If you are a bowtied account with a blog or a substack who isn't being tracked on the website, reply to this post and I'll add you.
I've made my decision. I've seen enough demand via ad tests, and am entering into manufacturing for my biz
This has me cruising facebook marketplace for Dehydrators to experiment with different recipes before going to a CM

Your AI agent can market better than you!
But only if you're able to give it the right tools.
A lot of people say that distribution is the only thing that your agent can't handle.
That's not true anymore.
In less than 6 hours, I launched an entire funnel from idea to being live.
And I spent zero dollars to do it.
Officially hit 10 customers on the new idea.
ROAS and CAC improved each round of testing
My CPMs are still absurdly expensive, but whether to manufacture is really in the table for the first time.
Debating doing a small first batch (100 units) where I make product myself
