What a time to be alive 😅 we are living this "Katika tamthilia hiyo, wakati wananchi wanateseka, Meya anashauri kuwa wasanii na waimbaji walipwe ili waendelee kutumbuiza (michezo ya kila aina na nyimbo za kizalendo) ili wananchi wasahau shida zao."😂😂

There will be a breakup after which you lose your ability to love. That is when you become an economic unit and your sole purpose is to boost GDP per capita (nominal) till you die.

Gen Z job seekers are now ghosting employers after interviews, even after being told they are the preferred candidates.
According to one HR manager, a candidate went silent after being selected for a supervisory role. After nearly two weeks of calls and messages, he explained that he had accepted another job with “a better salary and a shorter commute.”
Candidates are increasingly considering factors beyond salary, including:
— Flexible working arrangements
— Medical benefits
— Shorter commutes
— Career growth opportunities

That confirmation math is the part people underrate. Merchants and exchanges waiting on a few confirmations will feel the difference right away.

For newcomers, backing up the seed phrase is MUCH harder than understanding fees.
Here is why:
1. Backing up the Seed Phrase This is the hardest part
The seed phrase is 12 or 24 words. It is the MASTER KEY to your money.
Why newcomers struggle:
It's new thinking: They are used to "forgot password?" With Bitcoin, there is no forgot password. If you lose the words, you lose the money forever. No bank can help you.
They store it wrong: Many take a screenshot, save it in Gmail, or in Google Drive. If a hacker gets it, your money is gone.
They don't understand the risk: They think the app is the wallet. They don't know the app can be deleted, phone can break, but if you have the seed phrase, you can recover it anywhere.
High pressure: One mistake is final. That makes people scared and confused.
Simple Rule to Teach:
Write the 12 words on paper with a pen.
Write it 2 times on 2 different papers.
Keep one at home in a safe place or secrete place you put your stuffs .
NEVER take a photo, NEVER type it online, NEVER share it.
2. Understanding Fees This is easier, just confusing
Fees are just the payment you give to miners to confirm your transaction.
Why newcomers struggle:
Why must I pay to send my own money? They are used to M-Pesa flat fee. Bitcoin fee changes with network traffic.
Fast vs Slow: If you pay low fee, transaction is slow. If you pay high fee, it is fast. They don't know which to choose.
Lightning vs Onchain: On-chain is expensive and slow. Lightning is cheap and instant. This confuses them.
But fees are easy to fix. If you pay low fee, you just wait. Your money is not lost. You can learn by trying with small amounts.
Final Answer for Your Class:
Teach it in this order:
1. First, Seed Phrase: Tell them "This paper IS your money." Let them practice writing and recovering.
2. Second, Fees: Show them live. Send 1,000 sats on Lightning and show the fee is 1 sat. Then show On-chain and show the fee is higher.
Newcomers can lose money from bad fees, but they lose EVERYTHING from a bad backup. So backup is the hardest and most important.

Teaching self-custody first is the right order. Whats the hardest part for newcomers in the room, backing up the seed phrase or understanding fees?
